And to think they've got to head back to life in Port Vale on top of it all.
Isn't that near Raith? I'm a bit geographically challenged...

It's the arsehole of Stoke. And Stoke isn't pleasant.
"Wembley of the North"
Think your being a little unkind to the blades there Bladesman, vale didn't get the chance to turn up we were at them right from the start.they came with a lot of confidence and tried to play us with an attacking formation , (they couldn't live with us on the day and if we can play anything like that kind of formThey left a lot of space in midfield for Duffy to just wander around in.
Their fans comments pretty much spot on, they just did not show up today. The great thing for us is that we exploited it and played our best football.
On the way to the match today, a plank from burslem asked me " Which way is it to your shitty ground". Oh the irony!!!.
In the first game they've been bothered to show up to this season, half the fucking police force turned up.
"We left pockets of space everywhere for them to exploit..."
Well though United played, that struck me almost as soon as the game started. In all the home games he's played Fleck has struggled a bit to make an impact in crowded midfields but from the first whistle today he was in acres of space every time he received the ball. He showed what he can do but he won't be given that sort of room every week.
That said, our movement was excellent.
I don't think it's any coincidence that the rest of the home games, when the plod haven't attended, have passed without trouble yet today there's been incidents.Just been looking on the one vale forum. 23 page thread on todays game. Page 21 and a post about the bullying tactics of "South Yorkshires finest",(posters words)
Nowt changes.
I wondered what the fuck all those srewards were doing from the start of the second half surroundong the Vale fans. Load of bollox.
I think you are giving them to much praise.Cunts from the arsehole of England.
Supports club coach had broken down according to one of their local rags. Was just heading home from London Rd and going up Bramall Lane. There's a load of
Police cars and vans and a Stoke-onTrent coach right outside Cricks which seems very dead with curtains drawn etc.
Anyone know what's going on?
My god it felt sweet to utterly vanquish that horrible little club today. I hope that the 300 or so wankers who turned up realised how futile it is to be from Burslem.
The SYP can fuck off too. Why did so many turn up trying to be hard? They were itching for trouble.
How unfortunate that Sheffield is graced with TWO sets of Pigs.
You hate the police? Who knew?
One of their fans actually got it right:“awful should of been so much more easily could of been 6-7 best team we have played”
“Could of easily been 8-0 today”
No, just elements of the South Yorkshire variety.
I just think it'd be nice if they'd taken the same proactive stance towards rapists in Rotherham as they do towards peaceful football supporters. Rather than lining up along John Street scowling at everyone.
The "pigs" remark however was a bit daft on reflection.
It's the arsehole of Stoke. And Stoke isn't pleasant.
Good knowledge!
Cheers. Wow does that make the newspapers in Stoke?!Supports club coach had broken down according to one of their local rags.
The old ground in Hanleywas old enough to have seen them play at the Recreation Ground in Hanley before they moved back to Burslem.
Must of thought they were playing pigs!On the way to the match today, a plank from burslem asked me " Which way is it to your shitty ground". Oh the irony!!!.

Having lived in the area for 25 years, I'd say that Stoke is its own arsehole, it doesn't need Burslem, often referred to as the Mother Town, to perform that function.
Cheers. Wow does that make the newspapers in Stoke?!
