This may be out of date now but I remember it being free about 6 years ago for under 5s if they were Junior blades . That seemed sensible as they grow up to be a blade for life

You automatically got a free junior season ticket when you bought any adult one, think thats where your coming from hodgy!

No disrespect to the OP but do you just accept your car insurance renewal quote without checking what the best deal is? I accept The Blades are a bit of a different animal but it`s a bit rich slating them in this instance when a tiny bit of searching would have yielded way better results. They can`t be expected to wipe peoples arses for them.

united prices for a day ticket for juniors , under 11 is from 8 quid
wednesday still do them for 5 quid, full stop
we need to at least match this

I took my 4 year old grandson to the lane last night for his first ever blades game glad to say he loved it walking down london rd seeing the Lane lit up,the buzz of the crowd ,even joined in with the singing ,but bloody hell £12  for a 4 year old is taking the P,its not like the old days when you used to squeeze a nipper in with you at the turnstyle whats happened to common sense ffs its £2 to watch rotherham in a league above not that we would ever take him to watch anyone other than the blades, has anyone got a email contact of someone who would even reply if i mailed them great result spoilt by greed UTB

I am more amazed you took a 4 year old to a night game. Did you take your tablet and put in the night garden on?

Isnt cribbing about spending £12 on your 4 year old Grandchild a bit tight ? A babysitter for 3 hours would cost more. 3 pints and a pie the same. £12 for a first visit to Bramall Lane seems quite reasonable to me ,without looking for discounts.

Opal fruits always worked for me ,ages to open then chew ,you can get a good full half out of them.

Definitely CHL....although not the same on the pitch please.

Now now Gray , I did say " a little bit of credit when it's due " He still needs to be hung drawn and quartered in his car park spot at the lane ;)

Have you actually read this thread?

To be fair to Sufc there is ticket options to suit most people. If you have to young un buy a season ticket for him or her it's next to nowt and he or she will start building their loyalty points up

no no no, you brought loyalty points into it ,next your grandson will be moaning about not having enough points for wembley (f.a.cup final)and last away game celebrating promotion....:)

Wasn't an option in the drop down last season when booking online, Has it changed now? I did enquire why with the ticket office and they said "security".
Because the JSS is a family stand, they don't like people buying online, as it could mean adults, without a child attending. So they prefer you to phone.

My daughter is 8. Her last game watching was the Wigan game last season. It was the coldest she has ever been in her life and we also got wet (sat in the JSS). Due to that bad experience she won't come to games this season.
ADKINS OUT!
PS - anyone got any ideas on how to tempt her back??

Sit further back and buy her some chips

In the clubs defence their are several pricing policies in place to attract kids. They're are plenty of kids for £1 matches. Ironically Oxford at home was the last one and was when this glorious run began!!

I've never paid £12 for the family stand, and I wouldn't really want to take a 4 year old to anywhere else in the ground. Having said that I would not want my 4 year old out til that kind of time on a night either.

I'm assuming he sleeps in til 10/11am so as to get the requisite 11/12 hours sleep as recommended by most childcare professional bodies?

I have to say this, you can use the kid for a quid days and get your kid into supporting the blades, but I've gotta say you better not relocate to London if you think £12 is steep for a football match, just pick the games while he's really young with the £1 tickets, I took my lad from three and he's only just paying attention now 13 years later..

It's become a thing we share, trust me, we have almost nothing else in common these days and I value the Saturdays we get, I'd pay anything ....... Don't tell them though... It's a fair ticket price at the club..

TBF, it probably depends what day you get match tickets. If you go down mid-week I'd imagine they'd tell you about this as they're willing to spend 10 minutes filling out the details and printing the card, match day on the other hand...
