Secondly, perhaps Adams' move was as much about the removal of another bad seed as it was about bringing in money. Does it underline the themes we've read about from Chris Wilder that he wants people at the club who share his ideals. Perhaps Wilder didn't fancy a 2-3 year job dedicated to young Adams alone, convincing Adams of the role he wanted him to perform. Winning promotion isn't all about signing the most talented players it's about building the best team, which is a totally different equation.

Talent helps but having the right attitude is even more important and that's why I'd sell any player that wanted to leave for whatever we could get, regardless of his talent.
