I dont beleive what im reading!!

I wonder what you lot would of though when we was stuggling at bottom of League 1 and then relegated to League 2. 11000 Blades in a shit stadium that was worse than pigs ground after floods? A board with worser ambition than ever that sold all our best players on the cheap to cash-in? A shit training ground and no academy?

Thats down to McCabe most. He didnt get us back up but he got rid of the lack of ambition tag. We didnt have any way to pay for getting out of the shit but he built some hotels and bought some clubs and got money in from other places and we are now one of THE BEST run clubs in the country. Now we can put £££ in to buy players which has never happened since ive been going to BDTBL (35 years), so I know Sornob was shit but weve got a base to build on and make SUFC bigger than we could ever imagine. Were not doing well enough on the pitch yet but theres plans in place and weve achieved lots.

Im quoting Ricky Gervais “James BT? Yer havin a laugh!”

Or rather in SUFC's case lack of AMBITION.

How can this be ? Sheffield 4th largest city in England great catchment area to attract fans from yet SUFC show no AMBITION.

Beats me.................

Great to see BT score at Ipshit.......... guess he'll go back to sleep now til end of season when he dissapears.

Exactly where is the the Bloody Ambition it really makes my Blood Boil we sell all our best players for p*ss poor sums of money & replace them with Utter Garbage.

We have been Crying out for a couple of Attacking Midfielders & wingers for Years Now but we are still no closer to getting anyone in Permanantly at all.

AMBITION MY ARSE !!!!!!!!!!

We stopped doing this a few years ago now. Other than Jags and Michael Brown... who are these best players have we sold for "p*ss poor sums"???

Cotterill, Martin, Carney. I think they are wingers that attack

And what best players have we actually sold for piss poor sums of money

Bromby was hardly our best player and we sold him for £600,000 possibly upto a £1m, that is hardly a piss poor amount of money

We are a team with ambition it's just i think we were expecting a much easier ride since relegation and it has bitten us on the arse

Ifill & CKR 700k & 1.25m that was pathetic Business for two of our most skillful players.:shakehead:

Cotterill is a Good player but we do not own him, Neither do we own Martin & IMO he is too Lightweight to play In our side as he always gets knocked of the ball too easy.

As for Carney he is our Most creative & Skillful player that we have at the club yet Blackwell won't play him.:shakehead:

As for the likes of Bromby & Leigertwood they were Garbage 9/10 for us so i am glad we sold them both.

I agree with Ifill and CKR but for the fact that Ifill was booed a lot of the time and CKR got an offer he couldn't refuse. It's a shitter but it happens.

i was expecting the Jags and Browny argument to pop up after you had said what you did................but this statement

I dont know if you are serious or are actually trying to wind people up?

Im actually laughin so much im in tears at the moment.................once again for good measure

Ifill and CKR

That was ages ago and i highly doubt things would be different if we still had them, that doesn't really say anything about our ambition does it.

Surely signing the likes of Beattie and Speed etc does show our ambition but clearly it hasn't worked as we have all seen.

I agree, maybe Carney should be playing but Blackwell is the one that picks the team.

Is this English??? I didn't ask for translation to Greek, allbeit Classical Greek! ;)

Bought BT ............... £4million and can hardly be bothered to get out of bed......., make that £3million cause we gave em £1million for garbage.

Sold Jags £4million and he's makin the team.................

AMBITION MY ARSE...................................

I don't get your Beattie comment. The amount of times i have seen him run 60 yards to get back in defence, the amount of times he is at corners clearing the ball.

He has scored 14 goals for us and has been out injured for about a month. Where would we be without him eh?

And as for Jagielka, we knew he was going to stay in the Premiership when we went down, he is Premiership quality and deserves to be in the Everton team and possibly even the England setup with a bit more experience.

I dont blame Jags................ what QUALITY player wants to play for a club with no AMBITION.............. nope we'll have to settle for has beens on there last pay day....

We didn't have a choice over Jags I'm afraid. The fee also was his release clause.....

How can we have ambition when there are fans like you constantly on the backs off the players and the board.

I guess you won't be here next season, be better off with fans like you to be honest.

Well said Stinky.

can't blame Jags for insisting it was in his contract, perhaps if he thought SUFC had AMBITION he would have stayed.

Or maybe he thought, i don't want to stay at a club with a minority of idiots in the stands.

Or maybe he thought, i am becoming a better player and if this club gets relegated then i wanna stay in this league to further my career

You strike me as one of those fans that are only happy when things are going perfect and not to stick by the club in the sort of position we are in whilst making negative comments
Funny, he strikes me as the kind of fan who is only happy when he's complaining. :)

BeightonBlade your answering every questing with "United have no ambition" - or along the lines of that anyway.

Jags leaving has nothing to do with ambition. It is to do with him furthering his career. Would you leave a company for another who is offering you 20k more a year but decide to stay at the other because it seemed to show "more ambition", I really find that unlikely.

Don't forget jags could have left the year we lost in the play off final and the years until we got promoted. Many teams were sniffing around him but he wanted to stay because he loved the club and saw ambition possibly? Oh no wait - we don't have any of that do we.

You know back when we signed them? did you class it as ambition getting two talented creative individuals? or did you moan that we'd signed a big headed Brighton reserve and another championship player in Ifill?

We effectively paid 50k for one man who helped us gain promotion, but lost his form and split the fans

and

made a killing on young CKR who everyone wanted to keep, but once he'd got into the Turkey squad was ALWAYS going to join Fenerbahce.

Now i'm not sure how we should have shown ambition to keep hold of CKR? Perhaps moved the club to Turkey?, bought Fenerbahce/Galatasaray so he could play at a top european level on loan maybe?

Walking around in Turkey.... he's a young playboy.... walking around in Sheffield, he's just another trendy, only he gets approached by "blades" who don't like his attitute because he displays a bit of self confidence.

Wrong................

Can i ask BB, are you actually happy with anything going on in the club right about now?

Yep............

Floppo sacked and 'our terry' shown the door........

oh wait a minute......... the new hotel..................

not much else though................

Well sort of........................

Had SUFC shown some AMBITION when in the Premiership instead of as always trying to do things on the cheap, brought in some QUALITY players we might have avoided relegation and Jags would still have been at BDTBL.

I can't be doing with the amount of money that's sloshing about, and the way that stupid sums are bandied around by people who have no conception of how much it is. I know I don't.

The whole Tevez thing summed it up for me, and made me make my choice. People were talking about sums like £50m as if it were loose change down the back of the sofa. Basically, I fell out of love with the way that football is in the upper levels.

I want to go back to football being fun, and people being there for the sport. I don't/can't see that happening at the Lane, and as much as I love United and always will, I'm watching Sheffield FC next year.

I should point out that I made that decision before the end of last season, but after I'd renewed my season ticket. sufclucy will have hers, but, and even though I really don't want to, I'm off.

We were only one bloody goal away for Christ(TM)'s sake.

We only managed to beat the likes of arsenal because we showed no ambition.
