Mitch is generally in the Railway pre and post match then does the walk around to the Yellow Lion, Cremone, Crown, Albion etc

Whats with the yellow scarf with black stripes, was it an away scarf?
Seemed like away scarves sprang up around that time..I think it all stemmed from West Brom having the yellow and Green striped away kit in the previous season when they got promoted, and they all seemed to have the Yellow and Green scarves..other clubs like Us and Leeds had yellow away scarves after that. ..I remember having the one with the red one with the thin black stripe like in the picture.

My uncle Ronnie wearing the CO outfit and Herman (later known as Little Herman as there was another fan nicknamed Herman who was then known as Big Herman) wearing the Leatherface mask

These days you'd get arrested for smuggling those flares into ground.

Yes, passed away aged 49. I have heard of him through Ronnie but dont know what he looked like
I thought it might be Pod. I knew him, he used to knock about with two of my older brothers, one of whom attended his funeral.
He was about 6' 4'' or more and because of his size got the nickname of Herman (Munster).
Hard to believe it's that long since he passed away.

I remember big Herman from the Crombie/doc martin days - we got locked out of Old Trafford in that match in 1971

Talking of old days anyone know what became of deaf and dumb Mick? Remember drinking in The Dutchman, Luton 1975 with him Shread and a few of the lads before the game. We came out to what seemed like a load of Luton skinheads, remember Mick wading in there (we lost 0-2)

Mick is deaf not dumb!

He still goes to matches (sits near me) despite having moved to live in Leicester

If he's been going to the Lane regularly for 50 years and still does despite living in Leicester I think he qualifies as dumb.
His first matches in the 1960s were at the sty! His Wendy supporting uncle took him to watch Wendy! He became a Blade in the early 1970s.

Mick was/is a top lad always in the thick of it not just at the matches but on the town as well Blue Bell, Crazy Daisy regular

Yep. I had a set too with him on the 93 bus when we were about 13. Wasnt a Blade then. Got on well ever since!

Still see him at away games. As you say, top lad.
Always did his bit for charity with those football tickets he used to sell in pubs :)
Got barred from the Central Deaf club in the 1980s and 1990s for using their charity collecting boxes! Me and my mates often would wind him up about it even though he has stopped using collection boxes for years! :)

Selling framed photos at pubs was another thing he did!

Remember them well :)

I bought one off him showing the team in White short season in the late sixties. Still got it.

I went there the following season in the midst of winter and it was bloody freezing. Blades fans were lighting fires on the terrace to keep warm. Think it ended 0-0. Me and my mate spent ages the week before making a banner which said 'Alejandro The Great', which we tied to the railings at the front. Unfortunately, like a couple of clods, we forgot to retrieve it afterwards. Tch!

Had a few sherbots with mick at bristol city a couple of years ago .still a cheeky Fokker, him and me walking in their lads pubs him ordering his beer in sign language (incognito ) me Beighton accent ,reight laff .then to the ground and him blagging his way in .:)

If it was the game we lost 2:1 ( bad memory) I was there. They also beat us 2:3 at home, woody scored a scorcher from the kick off.
I was only a young un and often just turned up at cherry Street on a Saturday morning to get on the coaches for away games, my dad never knew where I was.
