It's not all about a great first touch and delivery you know. There are other qualities that a professional footballer needs

Struggling to understand your point 67. A great first touch and delivery of a football are the 2 big attributes that separate good players from bad. Woolford has neither, but if you are classing being slow, kicking the ball straight out of play and getting skinned all day long as these qualities you talk of then I agree he's a good player.

Bit mischievous on my part , good reply . Down in Gilingham and not much to do . Roll on tomorrow

Hoping 3 points . .

I think a lot of fans miss some of the unseen work that these types of players put in. Would have provided good balance with Duffy on the other side.

I thought you were on the wind up to be honest, your point about unseen work is valid but I still think you are on the wind up.

Woolford's career was decent until he joined us. Same goes for Hammond. Surely various reasons why both struggled with us, but the past 5 years must have been difficult for all new arrivals. Quite a few did well at the start only to fade away(Brayford,Flynn.Scougal, Harris, Davies ++)
I think some reason must be we've been expected to win this league every year with all to loose. Confidence has been shattered when we never delivered to expectations. Same again this year, we're no better than the avarage on the pitch, it's off the pitch we're superior, attendance, size.history and to some extent wages.

Where's James wallace ( no jokes)!

Apart from JCR who I always liked, I wouldn't bat an eyelid if they vanished from the face of the earth.

I see Bolton have signed another keeper already? Ben Alnwick from Peterborough.

Howard soon to lose the shirt then?

A few decent points, but surely missing the major factor - simply that their legs have gone.

Ah the unseen work, you must have the same gift as Adkins. The reason no sod see's the unseen work is because it doesn't really exist.

Unseen work? Much like that other useless fucker Hammond.

Your on your own on this one.

I always said Woolford was a player. another hounded out by our shit fans

I too said Woolford was a player.....Well he was wasn't he.....Just not a very good one!

But where he lacked quality he excelled in.............erm............ermmmmm..............

I think many of our fans fail to understand how players like Woolford affect the team dynamic and the needs for leadership throughout the team. I've seen a great video on this in relation to the patterns of migratory foul. I'll try and dig it out and share on here. Fascinating, really fascinating.

Ok, N the whole of last season, what did woolford do for sufc??
You got to been going to different games to th rest of us.

Poleon scored for Wimbledon, Jacob Mellis scored for Bury, Woolford scored for Fleetwood, Forte scored for Notts County and Jon Stead nearly did. :)
