Just spoke to my wolves pal about him. Described as a big, strong unit, good in the air, quick enough, a bit of a confidence player, but definitely good enough for a top end L1 team.

I'm hoping he develops nicely over the season and we pick him up on a free next summer.

If that goes to plan and O'Connell develops as expected, we could have a good centre half partnership for next season.

I have rated every signing since entering league 1 as meh. Yes every single one.

I would think they are fine for League 1.
If The Blades managed promotion surely they would have to be looking for improvements.

Yep, I'm saying that on the basis we'll still be in L1. They could prove to be a good partnership for this division. Young too, with potential. Same goes for Lafferty at left back, if he can prove to be decent then we can pick him up on a free, then with Moore in goal we could already have 4 of the back 5 in place. Our recruitment could then be focused around midfield, the area we've consistently been lacking the most.

Big...tick
Black....tick
Strong....tick
Quick....tick
Combative...tick

What's not to like? fits the profile the manger is looking for.

And nothing like a nice edited YouTube video to raise hopes prior to his first game!

Good luck to the lad. Hope he's the player we have been looking for.

We'll could have Brayford back when Burton are relegated, and then we'll have a full house.

Even if he starts performing again for Daddy Nigel, I think we'll look to take advantage of that to sell him rather than take him back. We could get much better value at right back. I'd prefer someone big and strong, and black.

If he's big, strong, can read the game, can clear his lines and do the basics, he'll do for me. We're in the 3rd division and we need to stop giving goals away. We've signed a new goalie, a few defenders now so let's hope we can get a settled back four and build from there.

If we can't get in a free agent central midfielder now, surely we must make that absolute priority for January. But if that's the case, it's quite possible that weakness may have already helped blow any realistic chance of promotion.

Oh, and its about time we started signing good names again. Laurent d'Jaffo, Laurens ten Heuvel etc. Crap players but great names. Come on Blades!!!!

How about perennial World's Strongest Man competitor Mark Felix? 6ft 4", 23 stones, still one of the world's best dead lifters. OK, he is 50 now, but he could still do a job, he would tear this division a new one, would mean giving up his plastering business in Blackburn, but worth a punt?

Could be a bit blacker, and might be a bit slow, but you know what, if he's got a long throw then GERRIMSIGNEDUP.

To be honest, if he did a throw in from the south stand it would end up in Fargate......might need to rethink this one.....

Personally I'd have a look at this guy, if you can't make him out he's the second one in from the right.

Fairly mobile for a big lad and from what I've heard, pretty strong.

No wonder you left that gym Barney ..

As for the EEL, think he could be a real cult down t'lane...not sure which way yet, but am plumping for 'hero'.

Struggling here mate, you mean the lad in the pirate shirt???

Looked solid. I reckon this back three can be quite solid after a few more games together.

Had abit of a fifty pence head clearing some of those balls at times but looked alright today
