He has just had a shaky start, it happens, although Bury fans did warn us about his defending being far inferior to his attacking qualities. His left foot will definitely be an asset over a long season so let's see how he gets on.

Should have had another assist under his belt by now as well, but Clarke missed the biggest sitter we have had all season.

Did he make a tackle?

He made plenty, he ran forward, beat his man loads of time, got to the by line and put good crosses in, poor finishing by other players. He also let go with a shot from outside the box that was like a missile, rising too high and missed the top corner by about a foot, but if he had got his body over the ball it would have been buried, keeper would have had no chance.

Defensively poor at times, just does the basics by kicking the ball out (or heading out).

I agree he has not been great so far, but mid week he was like a different player. Maybe the smaller crowd meant he felt less under fan pressure?

I thought that he was much improved defensively and had to deal with a much rated, £multimillion kid in Gray. Gray had to move elsewhere to have a chance of producing something. His forward play was quite good too.

Possibly lol but Billy missed a few sitters early doors last season, he will come good again. Clarke could go either way and needs a league goal soon.

Agree with that, Clarke definitely needs a goal but while ever he's being used as a target man he'll struggle. Billy will always miss a few but he'll get his fair share given any sort of service.

No, what you actually said was "how many were willing to drive coutts out of the lane for free and now see a good footballer?" referring to the fact that Hussey is currently being treated as a scapegoat but might come good in future. My point was that I don't consider Coutts to be in that category after 2 very average games.

Hussey could do with being played LM from what I've seen of him this season (Crewe Rochdale Southend Oxford) he's not the best defence wise but does have a good bit of attacking potential. I agree some of his crosses have been poor but does put quite a few good few in each game.

Oh, there's always a scapegoat and now George has seemingly taken himself out of firing line, step forward Mr Hussey.

No, I don't agree with it, it's stupid for fans to pick on any player but it has been like that forever apparently, in fact I'm sure someone could cobble together a "Scapegoat of the Season" award in the same style as the "Player of the Season".

George took himself out with his utterly embarrassing performances. If hussey keeps playing like he's drunk, he'll do the same.
