more passion in that challenge than the rest of the team.

wonder when he was going to snap, hes took a battering last few games and the ref hasnt helped by booking there players for late challenges.

Well if it isnt Quinn it is normally Geary that gets a beating.

stupid really, the game was gone so there was no need for it, for a player thats just got back into the team, now he is suspended for a pointless challange and gives someone else a chance to take his place that he has only juts got back!

Great tackle by Quinny, i would have done the same... that youga was a nob.

But at least he's showing passion

I didnt see it, went straight after their second.

Agreed stinky

passion or whatever absolutley pointless and a waste of 3 games now

But at least he's showing passion

Great stuff then ain't it. Now if only the other 10 players can show a bit a of "passion" we can start getting games abandoned again.

You can show passion without being a dirty bastard.

Although I haven't seen this challenge as I walked out with 2 minutes left, which is highly unlike me.

Very silly young man and i echo the statement made further up the thread that, having recently secured a first team starting place, he has shot himself in the foot and will find it diffuclt to get back into the side.

The kid plays with his heart on his sleeve and frustration obviously got the better of him, im sure it is a side of his game which can be curbed and i hope this is done sooner rather than later.

It was a disgraceful tackle. And just for his complete idiocy in the situation I wouldn't play him again this season.

Which would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Yes, it was a stupid tackle, most like borne out of frustration, but simply refusing to play him for the rest of the season regardless of anything else is knee-jerk reactionism, and highly unwise as we're in a relegation battle.

It would teach him a lesson aswell though, when the games dead and we're never going to get back into it, we've got no midfield as it is and find ourselves slipping down the table, why do it?

Plus, he's been crap the last 3 games.

Heat of the moment. It's not like he's usually hot-headed, so why not give him the benefit of the doubt? He's done well not to lose his head recently, as he's been battered by the opposition.

I disagree that he's been crap. Certainly no crapper than anyone else in the midfield, and possibly better than Speed.

He has been poor, he had a good game against boro at home, but the rest of the time he has been woeful at best.

It's been coming for weeks though to be honest mate, he's had a few near misses with some dangerous tackles, and it was only a matter of time before this happened. He has been getting battered about but he should use it to his advantage because it proves he's winding them up, but doing what he did means he's sinking to their level. If he can learn to keep a cool head it will be useful.

He's been awful, the amount of times he's cost us breaking out on the counter with a sloppy pass straight out or to the other team is not good enough for a professional footballer, and it's something that needs to be worked on.

Speed has been poor at times aswell but he didn't do bad at Boro for me.

Whilst you're totally correct, it's easier said than done when all the players on the opposite team are aiming for you instead of the ball.

I got that all the time when I played, just means I'm doing my job and pissing them off in the process. If Quinn learns that he can use it to his advantage.

I'm cerainly not defending him, just for the record, if he is going to do something as stupid as that, then he deserves to be suspended, plus it was definatly a sending off. I'm just saying to the younger guys of the squad, they might not be able to keep their cool, just look at Geary, he has learnt well, he is usually the guy that cops it.

Don't blame Small Quinn for seeing the red mist on Saturday, it must be a family thing. His big brother was a bit hot-headed too.
