Out of contract but under 24. The clubs agree a fee to prevent going to tribunal

Barney reckons (I assume a guess) the fee was £150k

I thought I'd read on more than one occasion wendies wanted £300k

Had a quick scout on Porktalk and noticed this comment by a poster:

"Two sides to every story of course. Played hardball with Lavery and ended up with 800k - that's good business imo."

Don't believe for one minute they've had our pants down for that sort of fee, but wondering whether for example we've paid £500k + add ons which could eventually total £800k? Surely that's ridiculous?

Anyone have any clue as to what the deal was?

It would have gone to a tribuneral should we not been able to agree a fee so I would really doubt any talk of 800k.

With everything Wilder has said about getting value this just wouldnt fit.

No way. If it had gone to tribunal I doubt they'd have got £150k, So given Wilders tough negotiation approach I think the fee would be no more than that.

Glad we got him anyhow. Nothing better than a scorned Owl!

Top bit of business!

Seventy odd games in four years.

Sixteen goals.

I pray he finds the net. I really do.

Just heard its 2.8 mill plus add ons. I know thos to be true cos a porkypig told me they calculated it the same way they calculate their Masseeeeff support :D

It'll treble if he does well for us and he'll still be shit.

Reminds me of Geary, Bromby and Quinn when they arrived. They had beef with the pork (see what i did there) and came to the Lane with one objective, to nail their allegiance to the Blades cause and to shove it up the scrubbers from S6. If Lavery runs his blood to water for the club like these boys did he will do just fine.

Although the true facts are scored 16 from 37 games that he has started. But don't let that get in the way of your multiple agendas. Important to bash the Blades.

Toppppppp Catttttttt

PS..wtf is this WARK WARK bollox

Interesting signing this. Obviously has something, but is his head right? Will he be a De Girolamo or Tony Agana?

Pubs have shut! Top Cat's rolled in all steaming and angry and ready to give us his ex-professional footballers (because he was, you know) point of view. Which is ... fuck all.

The WARK WARK is to piss you off. Just like signing my name, it's the inconsequential little details which really boils your piss Top Cap, innit?

Happy to help.

Great we're really hitting the highs this last couple of days.

Absolutely no chance it's £800k.

Tribunals make decisions not just on the basis of how young and how many games they have played etc. Its stuff like are they in the first team, how many contracts have they rejected etc. Ings was the highest ever at £8m and that was for a player scoring regularly in the prem that they wanted to keep.

Think ManU only got about £800k for pogba

So we the deal was 80k then. Always multiply by 10.

What really cracks me up is that the MIGHTY POMMMPEY thinks that he can dictate the hours that I can post

WARK WARK!!!

I would say wed were holding out for a bigger fee but we stood firm and rather than it go to tribunal pigs in the end accepted our offer as they probably new they were risking getting less at a tribunal, great to get one over on them

Yeah. It's ace when people drift off topic because simple fucking questions emerge which require answers. It's particularly great when simpletons suddenly chip in with hilarious gifs and stuff. And then on top of that, the Sunshine Bus Third Party happens by. It really changes the situation and makes the whole thing better.

No love. You only post when you feel confident enough to string a few coherent sentences together which has fuck all to do with Sheffield United, but satisfies your need to troll. Usually after the boozer has kicked out.

Why not try facebook and pick on fat schoolgirls or summat?

No it makes it shit. We all know that.

Lavery will be 24 on the 22nd October and eligible for a free transfer so I doubt the fee is anything above the 150k mentioned. The unclean had zero bargaining tools as he could have just sat tight for 7 weeks. Steady bit of business at a realistic price
