Ran us ragged a good few seasons back at the Lane i seem to recall. He hasn't done anything of note for a good 3 years at least since.

Probably will be our next signing then.

I think a lot of quite decent league 1 players stall somewhat when they hit the championship and become squad players. Could be that a change of scenery and dropping a league might be what he needs to get back to form.

Was at hull I think? Ex Man U?

Did OK for Hull for a season or so, then they got wise to his one trick and his confidence went through the floor. Seem to remember he was fairly quick though, and maybe played wing back too....though the last bit might be bollocks.

Looked a very hot prospect for Hull a few years ago but then tore his ACL. Never reached the same level since.

He can still run though so he'd stand out a fair bit in our team.

Would it be fair to say your dummy has been well and truly ejected over the last few weeks?

I'd started to look forward to your posts as you clearly know a bit about the players in league football. Sadly, you've merged in with the hundreds of posters for whom this forum is nothing more than a vehicle to continually bash the club.

Your old self will be welcome back.

The posters who suggest this player and that....then go nuts when said players go elsewhere without any knowledge if we actually want them make me laugh.

Frustrated football managers, usually from a certain computer game background.

I personally pay little attention to previous clubs performances, and prefer to see how they get on for us over quite a few games before opting to pass too much comment.
If he comes in, let's hope for once we have got him at the right time after injury in that he is getting stronger, trusting his injury is ok and getting more confident.

Well I used to play with Cameron Stewart in the late 70s and early 80s.

He weren't right good then, can't see that he'll have improved that much with age

If by spitting the dummy out you mean being unhappy with the club's (seemingly inevitable) failure to adequately strengthen, poor decisions and inability to get things done, then yes, I may have spat it out today - if you'd read my posts prior to today you'd realise I've been calm and non critical.

I'm a fair and balanced poster. If I spit it out it's for good reason. Unfortunately those who 'bash the club' are continuously justified in doing so, as we fail season after season.

Today is a massive day. It's season defining. We look like failing. There's quite a lot to criticise.

After reading the lads wiki page (taken with a pinch of salt), it sounds like he has the potential to be a good signing, seems like he has a few goals in him and most importantly a point to prove.

Good player, pacy which we lack and would give us some width in a 4-4-2 which we went back to on saturday 2nd half. Did well for Donny last year in a struggling team, think he hit 1 in 4 from the wing. Needs somewhere to get his career back on track and Wilder seems to be very good at that.

Just out of interest which players are you referring to when you say Wilder is good at getting players back on track?

Pre sufc obviously, 10 or so games here isn't enough of a barometer really.

I suppose you could argue Coutts and Freeman? Maybe Wright? Done?
