Wizardry for manager! Bang on!!
Some will probably accuse me of being McNultys' agent never mind a manager, who gives a fuck? This club and some of our fans are stuck in a time warp, it is goals that still win games of football. McNulty has many weaknesses but he also has the knack of getting into good positions and scoring when given the chance.

Sharp and Clarke are at an age where they aren't going to, or even need to improve their game, McNulty is and will if coached in the right direction, he already has the goal scoring knack which is the key and will always be the key attribute.

Wilder confirms season long loan.

Two more in - a wide man and a centre half. Gutted there's not a centre mid too tbh.

CB is far and away the overriding priority. Of course we'd like CM as well but gutted is a bit over the top, isn't it? Coutts, Fleck and Basham ought to be up to the task on this league. Duffy has the talent too. His best work against Oxford was when he moved inside.

Anyway, who knows what tomorrow will bring?...you might be pleasantly surprised.

Loan till end of season, can recall in January if we want. He's not going to play so why ruin his development by keeping him here? Let him go get first team football and reevaluate in January, we have Clarke, sharp, done and lavery here, plenty with DCL as back up for now
I hope they have put in the contract that he can't play against us in October, surely even we can't be that daft, I mean we wouldn't give anyone to a rival team in the same league now would we? Nah!

No midfielder?

FFS that's hideous.

We'll massively regret not signing Morsy when we had the chance.

Relying on Basham as our solid, consistent type? Seriously?

McNulty is a better footballer than Clarke and a better finisher than Sharp and Done, why would you possibly want to get rid of someone like this, someone who has a potential high transfer valuation and has plenty of time on his side?

Only Done has time on his side out of those three strikers, why not keep McNulty who is no doubt the best finisher we have and work on his weaknesses with the coaches we have? Or don't we have any coaches to make our strikers any better? He will win us games single handedly at times if given a chance ahead of some bum chums.

That's just it, I don't think we have any coaches... do we?

The point about age is another good one. Sharp and Clarke are in their 30s. McNulty has potential as well as something to offer at present.

That's pretty much all the poison eradicated from this club now.

Now we largely have a squad who, if not entirely able are at least willing. Which is already better than last season.
Let's hope all these non poisoness players that remain can actually show some bollocks and skill and perform a 100% better than they have so far - 15 goals tops this year from Sharp or Clarke

Just Freeman to go.

I see no reason why Sharp won't beat that target. I don't understand why everyone has suddenly decided that he's shit to be honest.

I really hope he does! He's not looked like the same player for me - doesn't have the same desire and looks out of sorts with some of the players around him at times.

I don't think we have. If we do i don't know who the attacking coach is, maybe it's Craig Beattie or Connor Sammon?

As for your second paragraph. Yes, unfortunately for Bradford.

I don't think they have TD, I don't anyway. I just realise he's getting on a bit and we'll need to develop or get someone of a similar ilk in fairly soon.

The squad around him has changed a fair bit. It always takes a while to adapt to that, but still bagged half of our goals so far in fairness. The desire hasn't faded as far as I can see, the way he celebrated his goal on Saturday suggests that his passion is as strong as ever. I've got every faith that he'll have a good season.

I was going to say I'm not annoyed. But i am annoyed because if we can give him a run in the side he will score goals he did at Livingston Portsmouth & soon to be Bradford. Yet for we cant be arsed. Its like Jamie Murphy all over again where we bought him as a striker & yet he left we were still unfulfilled as if he couldve been a success

I don't dispute that, but the comments I've seen on previous threads have been very unfair, especially after a defeat. He seemed to get the brunt of the criticism.

I didn't think he was very good the other day up until the goal but that came and his game changed, hopefully that will kick start his season.

Signing a CB and not a CM is just stupid.
Basham is useless in MF , but seems CW has fallen in love , so keep him Chris but as a CB.
THEN SIGN A PROMOTION-WINNING CM.

Well if it's a season long deal that places it right at the top of the stupidity scale.

Not even a chance of re-assessing or getting a fee for him in January FFS!

Under the rules (53.1) we can insert a clause in a season long loan to recall a player during the January window provided we give the other club 28 days notice.

So obviously we will be doing that as it makes total sense and sound business practice.......... It's the bladesway

So what's it to fuckin be then Wizadry?
Manager or McNultys agent?.......
The decision is yours...........

McNulty is just another piece of dead wood for me. Let's run with four strikers, Clarke, Sharpe, Lavery and DCL.

I hope they have put in the contract that he can't play against us in October, surely even we can't be that daft, I mean we wouldn't give anyone to a rival team in the same league now would we? Nah!

The loan rules have changed I believe and players are not allowed to play against their parent clubs regardless now

My only reservatations would be:
1. Goals win you games and if we are lucky enough to be up there, promotion. We started the season with relatively decent riches at this level in Sharp, Done, DCL, McNulty and Adams, we may now have sold two of them! To get up, you need plenty capable of scoring.

2. McNulty reportedly plays well with Lavery. Only we would bring Lavery in and flog McNulty at the same time, without exploring if we have a real partnership on our hands.

3. Talking of partnerships, Scougall and McNulty were very good together at their previous club and that was part of the reason we bought them both, with Scougs in a no.10 role. We've never given that a chance. Why? Get Lavery, McNulty and Scougs up top.

We never give any potentially good partnerships a chance, well never more than one game anyway. Same with youngsters.

As I said on the other thread, McNulty offers something none of the other strikers do - skill, creativity and the ability to fashion a chance for himself. You don't get rid of a player like that when you aren't scoring goals. He's also younger than all of them apart from DCL, considerably younger than Clarke and Sharp who will both need replacing eventually. With that in mind we should be thinking about a new contract for him, and he'll only sign one if he's still here and getting game time.
