I believe players call it 'playing to the crowd'. I've heard it talked about before by ex pros. They don't respect it.All entitled to opinions.
Can you however let me know what players need to do to show some heart and passion?
Because if it means running around a lot (Monty style)....flying into tackles....kissing the shirt in front of the fans...and waving your arms around in front of the fans that doesn't win you football matches.
Genuine question as to how the players can prove their heart and passion to you.
A veritable riot of an evening 'twas too.
Best when the Beverley Sisters clothed off!
All entitled to opinions.

To be honest I couldn't be arsed to read most of what you said when you started 'absolute bollocks' I just skim read it, I'm not interested in tit-for-tat and ripping each other apart. As Grizzly blade said we're all entitled to our opinions. I was just sharing mine.
Warnock was here 12 years, how many times did we win the league? Now it has to get done in weeks or you are rubbish.
His value is determined by what clubs are prepared to pay for him. Are you saying we turned down higher offers? No, of course you're not so what were the options?
Sell him now and use the money. - May happen
Sell him now to pay for the money we've spent - may have happened.
Don't sell him now, wait until the last couple of days of the window to hope we might get a couple of hundred grand more but miss out on most of our targets.
Personally, and like everyone else, I'd have preferred the board to front the money and sign the players we need a month ago without selling anyone first, only selling at top prices and any player that doesn't like it trains on their own. But that was never going to happen.
Without a doubt people are entitled to their opinions.
I agree with you that doesn't win you matches. Prime example is Done. Runs around a bit, chasing lost causes to get a clap from the fans but offers very little else.
Genuine answer - being prepared to stand up when the chips are down, not quitting the fight because the game isn't going your way. Being prepared to fight for each other.
How was it that Warnock managed to turn a fair few mediocre (for them days) players into battlers who wouldn't stop because we went 1-0 down?
Too many times in recent seasons have I witnessed players give up the fight, heads drop and once that happens it's hard to bring back. It doesn't help that we have not had a proper leader on the pitch for a long time as well.
Feel free to point out to me when you think we last fought hard to win a match. (I ask fought hard/battles in order to win because it's been a very long time since we dominated a match from start to finish).
Yer know L wouldn't amaze me if our contract writers have done it again.....Aye.
League Two next season won't know what's hit 'em.
Ok....and that worked well for Warnock when we were in the championship with very little by way of expectation. We were often the underdog even in the championship back then! He got his players working hard and playing to a system that works for them. Underdogs, working for each other.
We are now in L1...would you agree that in theory we should have an advantage regards budget? And that should in theory mean we can build a side capable of outplaying most sides most weeks?
So because of that...assuming you are honest and say yes to the above....just working hard isn't enough. The opponents are already working harder than most weeks because they are the underdog fighting the big boys! We need quality to break teams down, and that is what is severely lacking more than effort.
Expectations and pressure from the crowd at the moment should not be sniffed at. Back then I don't recall the fans booing the players on our team. They went quiet if things weren't going our way maybe, but didn't get so vocal towards our own players. (Forget the odd loon...they have always been about) Warnock would make a change...tactically or player wise, we would get a chance and the fans would go again.
Now I'm afraid it's booing and apathy...jeers and anger if we are passing it around the back. It's I patience pure and simple, and like it or not it is PART of the problems at the club. Opinions can vary on the degrees of the fault but however large or small it's part of the problem.

I have an image in my head of the board being smug saying "we won't pay these stupid prices again. They think we are daft " totally unaware that the "stupid prices" are much to do with the fact we are well into the season and in the last week of the transfer window.
It's notoriously more difficult to sign people at the end of the window as clubs don't have much time to find a replacement. Maybe if we had got ours business done earlier then things might not have been so critical. Maybe if we hadn't sold 2 first teamers to "free up wages" we might need to sign less players. Now though we are either going to sign no one of any quality or spend over the odds for players. Again .
And it's all our own fault. All down to incredibly naive planning
Got to say that he's been much more of a number 2 so far this seasonNot sure who would possibly want to take Long as number one - he may be better as he was supposedly considering in the summer - taking a deal with a Prem/Champ team and being a no 2/3 keeper.
It may sound daft but he may pick up decent wages for a while and without pressure on he can play in reserves etc and accept his lot.
Admire him wanting to be no 1 but lets be honest he will have to go into non league or Scotland to have that chance now I feel. Not even sure a lower league 2 club would take him.
As I say decent money in going somewhere and just been a no 2/3 keeper if he would accept that. It would look unambitiious but if wants a career as a professional keeper that might be preferable to being out of the game altogether in a few years.
The impression I get is that the club had written this season off as a rebuilding phase and that's why the dross was shipped out but recruitment was haphazard, they assumed what we started the season with was enough to finish in a comfortable upper mid table position..
After the first few games it's started to hit home that this squad now is not even good enough to achieve that and may be so poor it could be relegated and they are starting to panic.
Some truly desperate bids look like they are going in.
I wouldn't care if we'd signed 20. If they were all as bad as the 8 we've signed I'd still be moaning that we need to bring in a lot more. Numbers over quality just does not work.Got to say that Whilst I have no problem with Wilder or the club's strategy of not paying over the odds, I was hoping that Wilder would be saying something is imminent and, from that interview its clearly unlikely before the weekend and then we're back to last minute stuff again. As Wilder alluded to in the interview, he's realised that we need changes because of the results and now we're having to do it in the last few days. Before all our fans start whining, we have signed 8 so its not like we've been inactive, but I think all us fans have known that we needed a centre mid to replace Basham and we're still struggling to bring people in at that position now.
Or a good cup run......Spurs, Charlton, even HullGood post Clarky....and I will add though that the 3-0 after 15 minutes was born from the pressure felt by the players, and the pressure and tension coming from the stands. If we'd got the result we deserved at Bolton it would have been totally different.
I'm not blaming the fans, it is to some degree understandable and I'm as frustrated and angry as the next bloke. But it will not change until there is a change in attitude from the fans because at the moment I believe that although one affects the other both ways...it needs a whole shit of luck and fortune to bring about a result that might get the fans going. That or a big signing...and we all know that's unlikely.
So we need to adapt, we need to start taking the piss....like we did with Porter to some degree. Look at how bad we are and just laugh at it. We were going this way with Weir....and after 10games with him I would never have thought I might enjoy a day out at Wembley. We took our deficiencies, and turned it around to laugh at ourselves.
Personally having listened to the interview I thought he was very honest. Said last week was his hardest in football since he was 16.
Was honest about the errors and where we've been gash this season.
Talked openly about targets
Agreed we've been poor and didn't try to spin it (something everyone wanted after last yr)
Knows we need pace up front
Has acknowledged his system isn't working to date
Has worked on shape of the team and drilled the defenders this week which is clearly what they need having only played 4 games together!
What do people want. We asked for an honest manager- we have one
We want a Blade in charge who is passionate about the club- we have one
It's clear he wants to succeed- That's what we want.
Give the man a chance 4 games. Let's get behind them this weekend and take some pressure off the team because we're the ones creating it by getting on their case.
Thanks Kev. That makes me feel much better.Looking beyond the short term disappointment, there is a long term approach at work here. Wilder wants new recruits but he's not going to succumb to ridiculous demands and make knee-jerk reactions. Doing that is a big part of the reason we've wasted countless millions in the past and still find ourselves in this division. Yes, we do need 3 or 4 additions of quality and I expect those to be made in time, at the right price for us. I have the confidence in Wilder to continue to make the tough decisions and slowly but surely drag this club in the right direction. He needs the time and support to do that, and that's got to come from us. Patience is required.
We're grumpy and fickle, and one of the most self-deprecating sets of fans in the league (and I love that, by the way). We also have very "poor" short-term memories, and this can work equally to our club's advantage and disadvantage. A scrappy / lucky back-to-back pair of wins and I can see this team kicking on, based purely on the first half at Bolton. I realise it's not much to go on but, given his character, I can see Wilder quickly getting 99% of supporters back behind him. I couldn't see that under Adkins.I'm not blaming the fans, it is to some degree understandable and I'm as frustrated and angry as the next bloke. But it will not change until there is a change in attitude from the fans because at the moment I believe that although one affects the other both ways...it needs a whole shit of luck and fortune to bring about a result that might get the fans going. Got to ask, in all honesty mate, do you really believe that there are "quite a few people" who "lust love to watch them fail" ?No I don't but the fact that quite a few people just love to watch them fail and just ready to get on their cases just doesn't help. I accept everyone has a right to voice there annoyance but there are a large % who just can't wait to slag someone off or start grumbling. The fact is we're a average 3rd tier club. The tactics of the opposition particularly at BDTBL are so obvious these days and work so often. Stick 10 men behind the ball, not concede for the first 15 mins wait for our fans to get on our own players case and then watch us drop back 15 yrds.
The fact that collectively we allow this to happen time and time again should be a slap in the face for us to just relieve the pressure on our own team not make it worst by saying 'oh they don't have the balls to face up to the pressure' at some point the amount of players who 'haven't got the balls' should become apparent that actually some of the issue is with ourselves.
Couple of bad games? Where have you been the last couple of seasons?Ditching Long after a poor start tells you all you need to know about the current set up.
So basically what we're telling the other local, young players is that if you have a couple of bad games you're finished and out of the door.
That should help morale and confidence...
