From the Lane today I assumed we'd have seen some action with less than 10 days till the window shuts after our absolutely abysmal start.

Oh well there's always the loan window

Have a heart will you, the Hamster running the wheel that powers the Fax Machine passed away earlier, Kev has sent someone up to Pets at Home for a replacement, which will need training.

R.I.P Roland :(

Still time to get some more out ......................................

I think due to wilder and the club pushing and backing themselves into a corner . Wilder has unfortunately just found out it's hard signing players at the lane . Keith could have told him that .

Sink or swim . You bet . All a bit had hoc , disjointed , and a bit of a mess .

UTB.

The loan window no longer exists.

Once the window closes on Aug 31st, we have to go with what we have until Jan 1st

what loan window its been abolished

Make your mind up.

You've recently posted that we're not buying anyone.
Then when we sign someone you say "it's only 1 signing but we need more"
Then when we make a 2nd signing your post "2 signings is pathetic we need at least 3 more but I bet we don't sign anyone else"

It's quite funny really.
Obviously soemthing has happened recently.
It doesn't help that we're trying to attract players to join our big promotion push when we sit bottom of the league. Any player with ambition will probably want a lot of money to join United at the moment as its not pleasant for any player to spend all season fighting a relegation battle.
Wouldn't surprise me if our hot irons in the fire have suddenly cooled off.

Don't know where we go from here.
Morsey is obviously out of favour at Wigan and on his way out but he's sitting pretty and biding his time to get the best deal. If Scunthorpe continue with their good form then it might not be so daft joining them.

To soon LS, it's got to go to the wire to look realistic when the excuses come out

Out of curiosity what were you expecting to hear from The Lane today ? It is not as if we have been quiet since July 1st in the transfer market is it ? ( although I know the quality may be questioned )

Well we have no loan window to fall back on, so I expect there to be signings galore this week.

I expected to hear about a 'fans forum' at least.

It seemed from Wilders interview on Saturday that there was nothing imminent and he had someone else lined up to come in with Moore but that's not happened. I'm guessing that was Tom Adeyemi as was rumoured last week. So maybe onto other targets now. I reckon by the end of the week two more will be in solely based on Wilders interview. He knows what we need mate and as there is no loan window the board know they have to back Wilder now nor after in the loan window. I'm actually pleased we won't have that excuse! I still hope for Anthony Grant from Port Vale. They can have Coutts in exchange!

You know, we know, no one of any marque or quality is going to be signed.

There are still giant gaps in the team. Last season's poorer layers are now this season's better players. The signings represent the sum total of zippidy-do-dah.

And beneath all this fizz and speculation, we assume McCabe has £1.8m to give to Wilder to fire up the wall on ace players. Dream on.

It'll be the same, desperate story. Either no one signed, or if we so, Barry Oddnob.

Nope. And no one this week.

What we need are amateurs just like the Olympics, most of them on a pittance but putting there heart and sole into everything they do, what we have are professionals on a good wage who seem to think showing up is enough.

Bloody hell Pomps think what you'll say when you've actually seen any of the new players play!
