aaaarrrrrgggghhhh what ?

Quality costs money that's all I'm saying

You can't have cheap as chips and then moan about the quality
L**ds put their prices up under Ken Bates and they are still in the 2nd tier. There are L**ds fans at my work who have stopped going.

Higher admission prices doesnt guarantee quality

They are already on plan B. They didn't go up and they have tried to strengthen.
.
No, Plan A is promotion before the 2017-18 season. I know Wendy fans are worried about what will happen if they fail to go up this season

I suppose the point is it's too simplistic to say
if he team has success then the Chairman is doing a good job and the fanbase is happier.

Here are 2 examples.
Hull City are joint top of the PL but some of their fans feel they've lost their club.
Last season during their promotion season they only averaged 17K.
The Hull City Supporters club is still at war with Allam who refuses to communicate and acknowledge the existence of the fans. Regards the name change to Hull Tigers, he said something to the effect "it's my club and I'm not bothered what the fans think".

Where as Portsmouth are a mid table in league 2 club.
But their 16K gates are great and their fans think they now have their club back and are generally happier.

Charlton Athletic are another club that has had recent foreign ownership and many of their fans think the club is in turmoil and a complete joke off the field regardless of what they do on the field.
Some Charlton fans have said even if they win league 1 there will still be organised fan protests against the board.
It's a simple choice, which 'football model' do our fans prefer the local owner that talks to fans (arguabley the 'old' model) but stays a small club who think a million pounds (vision of Dr Evil) is a lot of money or the new foreigner owned money laundering machine needed to survive in the Championship. Tyler Durden doesnt like this model.
The PL and Championship will in the next 5 years be full of the money teams in the second model. The teams in L1/2 will be the first 'old' model either waiting for investment to go up or as feeder clubs to PL teams (effectively academy's). That process is already underway with the EFL Trophey experiment. Yhihf

Whatever happens they have a long way to go to be anywhere near the mess we are in. The two clubs are going in completely wrong directions sad as it makes me to type that.

If they dont go up I think the owner will just chuck more money at it until they do. Even if the owner does decided not be involved they are an attractive club to take over in terms of Prem potential etc. We are not. I am not sure it would be a disaster if they dont go up? The owner is loaded and they also have quite a lot of saleable assets if they wanted to claw some money back, the keeper, the lad Lees and the diving cheat would net 20 million between them in todays daft prices

Whoa, imagine that, a 3 year plan. I'd love McCabe to do that rather than changing tack every 6 months to a year.

Our wage bill are triple than those clubs but we keep changing managers (one of the reasons is pressure from fans) which isnt working

Who's fault is that? The last 4 have all been sacked.

The fans have not demanded those sackings. And McCabe did not make them because of fan pressure.

Would you pay £40 like Wendy and L**ds fans are doing so the club will sign big name players and pleasing the players agents?

Higher admission prices doesnt guarantee quality

Wendy fans dont pay £40 for all games though. Match day prices are expensive and daft I agree. My mates season ticket was not much more than mine at the Lane.

I agree higher admission does not guaantee quality and hate what clubs charge these days but your argument with foreign owners does not wash with SWFC - he has made them successful.

Many Wendy fans agree with me that they were lucky that the Rhyl jury didnt want the weekend to think over the verdict.
Lets see next May if they are lucky to have Chansiri and if they dont go up, lets see if Chansiri will chuck in more money and again this doesnt guarantee promotion. In Summer 2017 the value for Lees and Forestieri will drop down if they dont get promotion as it will be one year less left in their contracts

Have you moved to Spain and not told anyone or something??

You keep spouting this "didn't want to wait over the weekend" stuff; surely if they wanted an early finish they would acquit? Would you honestly, hand on heart send someone to prison because you wanted to finish early?* It makes no sense whatsoever.

*No doubt they did because he played for Sheffield United etc etc

Funny that, every time the Blades have lost in a play off final it's portrayed by the fans as failure. So how come when the pigs do it it's success?

I have said it many time "Find a Blade fan that will be able to buy out McCabe"

His biggest mistake was Robson. I am not saying he doesnt make mistakes, just that his heart rules his head and listens to the fans too much. I think he should be like Alam by refusing to communicate with the fans (you wont like that!)

I find it bizarre that some are so desperate to blame or make sky digs at the fans as if we're at fault in any way.

HE fell out with Warnock, not us.

If HE had listened to US then Bryan Robson wouldn't have come with 50 square miles of this football club.

I didnt come across a single fan that thought hiring that drunk was a good idea, and that was before he joined.

The judge did ask them to think over the weekend but the jury made their decision quickly.

Lets see what happens in early October and see if Don Hale is right

Warnock shouldnt have moaned to the papers about the lack of the contract offer until after the Wigan game. That is why Sean Bean and McCabe got angry with him.

I too was aghast about the appointment of Robson and this was the only time I thought about writing to the club when I saw the rumours in the papers

Both examples of McCabe not listening to fans and neither examples of fans having any impact.

Maybe he should listen to us more?

There will be a buyer for our club somewhere ...IF the price is right.

Having said that I cannot see any prospect of a change of ownership unless one (or both) of our owners decide to sell for a much lower price than I suspect either would settle for (especially as, if you are going to shell out millions, you would at least want control.) . At the moment I suspect there are much more attractive options than us available for far less money.

I'm not convinced the dual ownership is a good model for moving our club forward, with or without a sale - more of a recipe for paralysis and I can't see it changing in the near future.

We are losing money every season and last season how many clubs apart from Wigan (still receiving parachute payments) in our division had at least 12 players earning £5K or more a week??

We've no idea how true this is, didn't it come from a bloke at Coventry who apparently told you this?

Our budget last season was lower than 5 or 6 clubs in the league according to the manager.
