If you had the remotest interest in improving the team you could use your loose change that has dropped down the back of your elegant sofa. To you the investment / gift needed would hardly make a dent in your vast wealth. To us poor supporters it would be a fortune.

I just can't understand why you are allowing things to continue as they are. Yes, you probably have matched your co owner pound for pound but you know full well that Mr McCabe will no longer put into the pot. Why not buy him out? Be come a legend, you know you can do it.
A very small percentage of your wealth spent now would see United rise from the ashes

For goodness sake man, get your finger. And the McCabes out.

Fucking joking, aren't you?

I feel sorry for the poor schmuck. Tricked into buying in and shitting ten huge into the club, its immediately swallowed up by paying off Weir and propping up debt, the board sell our players, we fail in the cup, we fail to get promoted, we fail to appoint managers, we fail, we fail, we fail.

Meanwhile, his ten million is lost. Vanished. Nowhere to be seen.

No wonder the bloke doesn't come to the Lane. It's like visiting a casino where you were skilfully robbed of your stake.

McCabes are here to stay unless there is a boycott of games.
But what's the point anyway.
The McCabes leave and some other local tinpot millionaire shows up and "Rescues a club that would be dead without him"

It might as well be McCabe as any other person from within South Yorkshire and it's downtrodden backward 19th Century attitude.

I remember Phipps speaking to fans saying the hardest thing he's ever had to do was to convince the Prince to put in another £10m. I'm not surprised. As far as I know he has had no say on anything on the playing side, stuck millions in and watched everyone else make a balls up of it. No wonder McCabe said the two have disagreements.

I'd be fucking explosive about it TBH. We haven't mentioned 'Game Changing Investments' for some time now but let's face it, we all fucking bought it. So did HRH.

Only one man ever said "Game changing" as far as I recall. I wonder what would have happened had we given The Prince, Phipps et al full control of the club.

All good points. Your last sentence Pomps reflects what my post was about.

Don't waste more money Prncy by chucking it into the McCabe bucket with holes. You can afford to buy the fucking casino pal.

I don't understand why some of our fans don't know what "game changing investment" meant.
Remember think Liverpool not Man City.

So was anyone naive enough to literally think we'd spend the same amount on transfers as Liverpool.
Regards game change McCabe was alluding to SU being loss making.
This meant in order to balance the books we'd be forced to sell our best player every year
And have hardly any funds to sign players.

However since the Prince joined we've had the biggest or 2nd biggest budgets in league 1 every year. We've spent over 1 million on a right back. Paid big wages to PL loanees. Paid off successive managers and back room staff.

Fans of other clubs refer to us as the Man City of league 1 always trying to buy instant success
Instead of being patient and sticking with our failed managers.

Ha ha ha haaa!

Funny as fuck. You got me there Sheffsteel. Seriously.

Ho ho ho ho!

Okay, McCabe. You've been rumbed son. Come out with your hands in the air.

And fuck off to Belgium, eh?

I knew it, I knew it. I just knew there was a reason why I keep returning to support this shit-hole of a club. Thanks for pointing out all the good times we've had recently. I bet there's many a supporter of Championship clubs and some from the Premiership, that are absolutely green with envy over our recent success.

YOU, sir, are better at spinning than my washing machine.

Sheff Steel I have had over seventy years of patience thank you ,and much good has it done me. !! I am not a jam today merchant, I was born a Blade and will shuffle of this mortal coil, forever a Blade so I don't think I need any lectures about being patient. Something stinks at the Lane, and has done for years. The owners are content to carry on in the same way accepting a lowering of standards year on year as the norm. In that regard they have shown an unbelievable level of consistency.

Admiral as Wilder's stated ansfer policy is, in not paying the going rate , he should remind his paymasters about the old saying about what you get when you pay peanuts.. As ye sow so shall ye reap (Gloops chapter 10 v 2)

More fool him for handing his money over to McCabe without having someone in place (who understands how football clubs should be run) to make sure it was being spent responsibly. It's not like McCabe has a stellar record in his stewardship of SUFC, is it? I sometimes wonder what happens to businessmen's brains when they invest in football clubs; any common sense of acumen seems to go out of the window.

I'm sorry but he was supposed to be investing in football.......

It's not an instant return on your money unless you buy in and the team sail straight up to the premiership.

At the end of the day, if he was interested at all, what was to ever stop him spending more than a quid to buy a bit part stake and so what other prospective owners do........finance a full take over.

Want to get around the financial fair play? Sponsor the team a la fucking pig, Sponsor stands etc maybe just do what other teams do and don't give a flying fuck.
Bring in someone with a footballing brain that actually understands the sector to oversee the day to day running if he doesn't want to come off of football manager for more than a day.

I don't see how he can get off lightly whilst the hunt for McCabe is out.
Joint owners/joint responsibility.

If he isn't interested any more, I will give him a quid. I live local and will get to attend games for free then without having to do much else other than sit in padded seats.

Just another in a long list of people we've had at the top that want to be on the coat tails of a football club just to tell their mates they've done it.

It went down the same toilet as the £23 million West Ham money

I don't expect McCabe to disclose where that lot went. Safe to say, the club and it's supporters suffered because of Tevez. We lost our position in the top flight, the media income streams, Warnock and Jags (and a few others) and got Robson.

People forget that.
