You don't get rid of your better players unless you strengthen that position straight away, now we know we're fucking useless at this so I think we should keep Brayford who is incidentally one of the few players who could step up to the Championship if by some miracle we get there.

Get rid of your best players and don't replace them you get exactly what you deserve, fuck all. I hope the club proves me wrong but I won't be holding my breath.

Selling our better players and refilling with lower quality is what we have always done and you know what they say,

Always do what you've always done and you'll always get what you've always got.

The Beard was a great signing and we all hailed him as some sort of Messiah. I know that he is not that but, given the opportunity he could and probably will come good again. How do I know? I don't. How do we know that anyone who comes in will perform better? We don't. Look at the Hammond situation. How we raved about his signature. How did he turn out? We know what we have got with Brayford and we know he won't just cruise, he will put his heart and soul into matters.

There is also the argument that he is an expensive player. Maybe he is but should we pay less but weaken the position for strengthening another or do we ask CW to work his miracles as in the past at other clubs? All positions are becoming specialised. It is not as simple as put anyone into the right back position and they will perform marvellously. If that were the case, why did we rave about Hussey? We could've put anyone in that position that we already had. We could've kept Bob.

For me, it's a no brainer. Keep The Beard. I would rather the devil I know than the one that I don't.

...but does Wilder need a marauding full back in his system...I dunno?

...,,that's his main strength, they're several full backs could match his defensive work based on last season...

The beard is going nowhere, everyone calm down.

His twitter was probably hacked by a bored virgin little piggy. Hence why he deleted it.

seen a tweet from sparky to say the beard asked him to announce it was because there were loads of fake messages going about.

I will eat my hat(s) if he goes.

So I get knocked for calling them key players but see the usual apologists lining up already to back selling players.

Ok then I'll change tack to fit in.

DCL Adams and Brayford are all fucking shit and we should get shut as soon as possible.

We should offer extensions to Coutts Freeman and Woolford instead.
if you can show me one football club in the FL 72 that doesnt sell players at all I could agree with your point
every team sells their best players simply because they get money for them
your coutts freemans and woolfords go on frees for a reason ,
if someone gave us 1m for Coutts hed suddenly become indespensable
oh why did we sell him

how can we have key players when they havent been good enough to get us out of this division
name one thats moved on since weve been in league one that won something

blackmans had more clubs than tiger woods since leaving
yet he was magnificent apparently
murphy,
not a first team regular at an average championship club

name one KEY player weve sold since relegation whos setting the world alight

I shouldn't have to name names but there are quite a few players who we have got rid of who are playing at an higher level, they don't need to be world beaters or winning anything to prove anything, they are playing in better teams than ours.

so we are bemoaning losing at best average championship players
just so we know

I thought all the wailing on departures was reserved for top class players

they don't have to set the world alight to be better then what we have though do they?

WTF? Where have you got that from.

I don't know if you realise though, average Championship players are better than League one players, I know it might be hard to fathom but it will always be true.

What on earth?

Average championship players, ain't the Championship where we're trying to get to and have been for the past 5 years?

Haven't we been signing average championship players for the last few seasons? Some of them were even thought to be good championship players, but we seemed to keep getting our arses whipped by the inferior division one players.

Horses for courses. That's why I think a lot of our signings need to be the best players in this division, as a lot of them have aspirations to play in a higher league, they generally feel they have something to prove and as a result are more motivated to achieve it. I think the ones on the way down get here and just don't fancy it it is a shit league after all and they have nothing to prove, they have already played at their highest level and know it's all downhill from there. As for Brayford I'd love him to stay and recapture his form from his loan spell,he's one of a few players we have who gives a shit and the only one who I have known to contradict my players dropping down theory.

It could be argued that way SEB, yes but I suppose it's what you judge as average? What players you are talking about? At what point in their careers we sign them? These are all questions up for debate but until you tell me the players you're talking about then I can't really answer it as of yet.

I think grouping players through generalisation serves a purpose. It can help to quickly separate the wheat from the chaff. But people don’t always conform to a stereotype and so in the final analysis has to be assessed on their individual qualities.

We didnt get much from them murphy was invisible in the play offs when it mattered blackmman benifitted from a generous run of spot kicks.whsy people miss is neithrr eere good emough to get us up

pfft. POTY and top scorer. Who wants to keep shit like that eh? Let's build around Coutts and Woolford instead.

Blackman would have had to have been better than fucking Pele to get us up in the half season we had him. Jesus.

Yet we were in the top 2 with him and finished the season 5th after he left. He must be shit. Same for Murphy. We're clearly now much better without such wasters. After all, if we'd kept them, we wouldn't have had the joys of watching Woolford and Coutts run the flanks last season.

Currie - all Blades devastated.

Deane - all Blades devastated.

Billy - Bladey Blades devastated...
Moron. 20+ goals in a team devoid of ideas last season is no mean feat. He gives 110% every week, he is the captain, he 'gets it'.

Too right I'd be devastated. He's our key to finally getting out of this turgid league.
