I cannot even get my open age team out of the Huddesfield and District Reserve division 4! But I would have given Dean Hammond a real good kicking

Do you know what really pisses me off, people on here slagging the Blades off especially when it’s only a pre-season friendly. The night of the Derby game was my birthday and my son came bearing gifts, a full match day experience as he called it. He brought a couple of meat pies and a few beers but then proceeded to empty my wallet. Why I asked, well there’s the tickets and the beer and pies, oh and I was late so parked your car near the ground so we will call that an extra 80 quid for parking fines.

When I complained about the crappy larger he had brought he said I should have had beers before I got to the ground then sat behind me and booed for a while before squirting tomato sauce and mustard on my new jeans, thought this was a bit much as they were still in the Hugo Boss bag at the side of the couch. Anyway he had to leave early so gave me a bonus slap in the mouth just in case there was trouble later, now that’s what I call a real Blade, thanks son. UTB..

Fulwood, I still play at 39 and pre season friendlies for me are a FITNESS exercise. I tell my lads before the friendly just enjoy yourselves, avoid silly tackles but never sherk one. I only saw a handful of games in each of the last 6 years but we are the, well it has never fit a team better "big time Charlie's" we have continued to sign players from a higher level who just aren't hungry enough. For the first time in my lifetime I am happy we are signing bang average league 1 players, these guys once settled in a starting line up will be hungry and show up to games against the likes of Fleetwood, Shrewsbury and actually bloody battle. They have played at a similar level and we will raise our game in front of our 20,000 fans instead of our crowd raising the other teams hunger, BUT we need to get behind them from the 1st minute not criticise every single defeat in pre season because players will be saving something for Bolton. Can you imagine moving to a potential big club and getting injured before the season! It shouldn't happen but it does, basically have a pint of mild or a bloody gin and tonic and get behind the red and wizards, this is the season, the manager is a good fit and the players suit league 1!

oki doki - fair comment.

In answer:

you and your lads are amateurs

Utd are professional - and it matters to 20K supports that we get it right early.

It is said by many pro managers and coaches that the 1st league game is the last friendly - think that is bollox. We played Gillingham last season and played it was like our last friendly - 100% unprepared and got stuffed 4 nil as we all remember.

Preparation, preparation, preparation - it's what the club staff are paid for.

I keep saying the quality on here is dropping like hot snot. Last one to the bottom is a Dean Hammond.

I thought we may have reached rock bottom but then I saw the shite in the Morsy thread and realised we have only scratched the surface.

Do you know it's posters like you and stupid post's like this that make me go pffft! How can you judge anything on a bloody pre-season friendly, is that our strongest line up? Were some of the players playing their first games? Does everyone give 100% in a friendly? Was it a penalty anyway? Lets get out of this league first and then worry about top Championship sides!
Mmmm, now you put it like that Holmy, perhaps we should give them a couple more games ;)

This thread should be put into a bag and thrown into the river like an unwanted kitten.
