Do we still do half season tickets? I remember adverts for them around Xmas time a few years back, but don't recall them being advertised over the last couple of years.

We did half-season tickets when Clough was in charge - the second half, as fuck all would happen in the first half (and usually little more in the second).

If Bradford sold 18,000 (all at £149) they would make a revenue of £2.7m. If we have sold 12,500 at an average of £350 we make a revenue of £4.4m. Those are rough figures but yes, we make more despite selling only two thirds of what Bradford have shifted.

I suppose though that there is a counter-argument that by reducing prices you recruit new fans who might spend more down the years.


Personally, as much as I find Bradford’s approach admirable, I think we’re very good when it comes to pricing (in the context of the absolute madness that is the modern game). It’s a business and we have to weigh up the commercial side v not alienating the fans and I think overall, it’s something we’re good at. It’s one of the few areas where I’m full of praise for McCabe.

Cant imagine we get anywhere near £350.00 average.
Lots of concessions would take it well below that figure, like £60.00 for under 18s for instance, which by the way, I do agree with. They are our future Blades for years to come.

Agreed, our general pricing coupled with our initiatives to get young uns in the ground is excellent. It has helped us maintain healthy crowds during this dire period. It also saw our support grow before we got shit.

If only the product we market so well was any good eh…

A good job we do back him as I don't see the owners putting much money in, Wilder is having to wheel and deal to build a squad that much is plain to see (btw Tufty is doing a fine job of it so far)
