It will actually just be one of the nine or ten new players we required this season .......

UTB & FTP

But how many of those players will be free agents?
Signing a player with 2 years of his contract left, from a promotion rival, is a different level.

Gone to Kilmarnock, according to st annington in general chat. Tweet from McFadzean himself.

Can we do better? Yes
Will we do better? No chance!

I think you could well be right. Personally I'm inspired by very few of the players we are rumoured to be interested in but judgement can only be made when deals have been done. Hopefully Wilder will have a trick or two up his sleeve and surprise us all.

So are we

Sticking to your three word limit I see!

This doesn't look promising. It'll be very easy for MK Dons to only accept offers from Championship clubs.

He's going to be this summer's Dan Burn. We'll waste at least another two weeks on him and miss out on other centre halves during that time.

Given that Tufty wants three, that can't be right, can it?

If we're banking on signing him it could influence which others we target, as the potential centre half partnership will be in Wilder's mind, not only individuals. If we go after McFadzean and don't get him then the alternatives for his type/position (right sided, aggressive, ball winning CB) could've gone elsewhere.

I believe that if McFadzean was no longer a realistic target either due to MK's stance of not wishing to sell to a lge 1 rival, or indeed because of the links to Championship clubs, then Wilder would've put this to bed by now. The fact he hasn't suggests that McFadz wishes to come back to his boyhood club and/or MK have relented

We'll see

And endless threads!!

We offer £5k a week, Cardiff offer £15k. What would you do?

I've heard it mentioned somewhere that MK Dons aren't willing to sell to a league 1 rival.
That could be a problem for them if there wasn't interest from the championship, but there is,so regardless of his transfer request the ball is still in their court.

It's all well and good not being held to ransom by players trying to squeeze more cash out of sufc, but you would think we have bonuses in place as reward for play- offs / promotion. I'm sure that would appease the likes of mcfadzean to sign for us. Or am I being to fanciful.

We will be linking bonuses to promotion. McCabe alluded to it during his Q & A session when he said they'd made the mistake of paying too much in wages, when they should've paid a lower salary linked to promotion bonuses. This will have been implemented during current rounds of talks with targets
