Not totally convinced but some good positives.

Carney was great on the right with at least 3 good shots on target.

Killa was sound again with a great stop....i'm sure it was his head.

Bromby was steady too.

Thought Tonge was the weak link if anyone.

Good 3 points though.

:)

Hulse seems to be very rusty, The header he had in the second half being the easiest of his 3 chances.

Carney, Del and Bromby all had fantastic games. Sharp did a lot of good work, but still never looks like scoring. Good win though overall.

Ya mean other than his offside goal and when he stuck it over the keeper? :)

Decent result and great atmosphere.

A poor and unlucky 1st half and a decent 2nd half.

Del Boy my MOTM.

Carney was my man of the match had a great game but so did del!

Good performance hope it continues next week

Tonge was the weak link but did well when he decided to pick up his game.

Apart from Carney I thought the midfield were rubbish until Tonge picked it up a gear (or 5 gears).

i thought speed was good in midfield he is that cool head we need and i thought he could be like a mentor to tonge but clearly that wasn't the case

Great result today. Looked a lot better and solid at the back.

Carney had a great second half.

solid at back.how many chances does robbie hulse need god i feel sorry for that bloke he could have had a hat-trick today. sharp doesn't score but never gives up chasing lost balls which i like to see. carney and speed played well in midfield. bromby and killa had a good understanding i thought

Beg to differ, never seen him get involved like he did - winning headers, winning tackles worked a lot harder for me ... Speed however didnt do much second half but took the responsibility when required and controlled almost everything

Just in time for next week!

UTB!

We all see it different.......but today I thought Tonge was poor.

Main thing is the 3 points!

:)

Thought he had a poor game too, but he showed he can still make the runs late on in the game.

It felt to me like one of those games from a few years back where the atmosphere was good (from where I was sat it seemed so anyway), and despite being 1-0 down there was a feeling we would do it. Yes, we were fortunate with the first goal but then afterwards there was a sweeping sense of optimism around the ground and it felt like a second would be coming soon.

And as you say, 3 points is the main thing!

I also agree about tonge he was poor he has no strength so disagree about getting involved he went missing all game for me

Although i wonder why he doesnt have free kicks he can be deadly with them

Tonge didn't look one bit interested in the first half and all the other players were getting on his back for it....rightly so.

He had a brilliant last 15mins, he's so flipping frustrating cos he can be a great player - it's just not good enough when he just can't be bothered.

The last 30 minute's was like what we all expected at the start of the season, Del boy, what a hero, if the other 10 showed half as much spirit we would be runaway leaders.

I wasn't happy with thath, he was clearly offside and didn't even check his lines and got a standing ovation for it.
He's getting closer to scoring though, and i may have a cheeky bet for him to score at Hillsborough;)

If his game in generall isn't up to scratch then it's not worth him taking the free kicks. Not sure how good Speed is with them but we had one nicely worked go at a set piece in the first half, and Carney looks like he could hit a few too.

It was good to see some good crosses going in yesterday for a change too.

first half i thought speed was a version of monty with no legs, he wasnt that great.

but he was doing his own job and tonges too so it didnt help.

When tonge finally pulled the finger out speed could slip into the role of dictating the game.

Hulse needs to get sharper but glad to see him flying into tackles not neshing them so soon after having broke a leg.

Monty has been carrying Tonge for years I'm afraid.
