Joing Macclesfield....

The Silkmen have brought six foot two central defender Ryan Cresswell on loan from Sheffield United until the end of the season.

Cresswell has previously spent time on loan at Halifax last season and Rotherham and Morecambe this year.

He will be available for selection for this weekend's game at Peterborough.

Whats so funny:D

That should hopefully give him some good experience, after warming up with the first team saturday:)

I wonder what the point of him travelling to Bolton to warm up with the first team was?

To get the experience of being in and around the first team squad and possibly a worry on the fitness of one of the other defenders?

Seems a bit of a waste if it was only going to happen once - not much of an experience. I had hoped that he was making his way toward the first team, based on his being with them at Bolton.

Also, do we now have enough centre backs so that we won't need him again? Have we signed another one since Saturday? Or maybe they're not going to get injured again.

Kyle Naughton has also joined Gretna on loan, swapping places with Evan Horwood who was on loan

Knew him from my old school, thought he was destined for good things

I reckon he went incase someone got injured. Maybe he'll be able to be recalled from his loan spell if needed.

I hope he does well.

From what I have seen of him he may be one that does breakthrough to the first team.

:)

Well i have a season ticket so they would be useless to me anyway:p

yeah apparantly talking to ryans sister other day the coach was leaving at 11 on friday for bolton and at half 10 he was asked to go with them for the experience of warming up witht the first team and incase of any injuries.
