Kyle McFadzean

Well seeing as CW wants his signings in for pre-season which starts 23rd or 24th June, he aint got that long to go.

A little worrying when we still need a fistful of signings despite the two already here

Also a bit worrying is the fact CW is now saying we may need to use the players he's stuck on the transfer list. This makes me think that things might not be progressing as well as we might want behind the scenes.

Fingers crossed

I've heard one or two raise this point about the transfer listed players. I listened to the interview and I recall that he said that its possible that transfer listed players will be used in the event of injuries or availability issues. Words to that effect anyway. He said they still wouldn't be involved in the longer term, although presumably if a player does well when he comes in then he could change Wilder's mind. Wilder didn't say the last bit though, just my guess work.

Great if he signs... If not then we need to move on sharpish.

Some of the TListed players will really need to battle if they want to be involved in the first team. Either for shop window purposes or to prove to CW that they deserve a crack.

I'm with you on the worry stakes as there is no loan window so we HAVE to go with what we've got at the close of the window. Come on Mr W.....finger aht!

He's certainly a player who'll put himself on the line to defend, but not sure he has the athleticism that wilder mentioned was a requirement so we can press higher up the pitch.
We'd probably need a whippet by his side to make up for his lack of pace.

I thought the loan window was in January? Can anyone elaborate please?

He's relatively athletic, he played in a free scoring MK side when they went up playing vibrant attacking football. Perfectly capable of that quick aggressive style.

Wilder went with Zander Diamond at centre half last year for Northampton playing that style of football, he makes McFadzean look like Usain Bolt. It won't be as issue.

Yep....most clubs will look to take on 6 or 12 month loans now during the windows
I know emergency loans are a resource, and we've had some decent players in on that basis (That we may have struggled to get on a longer loan basis) but I can't help but think this is a good thing. Sick of being dragged along the whole season and the inevitable day after transfer deadline day line "we will continue to pursue our targets when the loan window opens". This time, whoever is through the door on 31 August is your lot.

Means We have to bring everyone we need in now! Not faffing well into the Autumn :)

You can get loans in either transfer window but not in between ( i.e.you are no longer allowed emergency loans which were the ones done between the windows)
Thimg is then, loan or transfer, it has to be done within the window and as yet, we got two of how many we need? CW needs to start pullin up a few conifers!

UTB and FTP

What's happened to Ricky Holmes?
That's the one that excited me the most and sounded all but sorted.

I'd take both Macfadzean and Simpson in a heartbeat. The former is a no brainer and the latter would compete with Adams for the role alongside Sharp.

Sharp, Adams, Simpson, Mcnulty and a target man would give us plenty of options and back up.

Is Kyle McFadzean still any good? Remember him being quite solid defensively in league 1, but occasionally he looked a bit clumsy in the challenge and in possession. MKD are in our league next season, why are they letting him go? I hope we get someone who can play it on the ground a little better if Kyle McFadzean is coming in, preferably a left footer. Nice to have another Blade in there though, and a big pal (I'd assume) of Billy Sharp's. Helps the other players tap into what our club's about and also helps build up a rapport between fans and players.

Maybe they are waiting on bringing in a replacement centre half or two first before moving him out (if they want to at all) as I'm sure they only have Joe Walsh remaining currently for that position. I hope we don't put all our eggs in one basket here and wait and wait for this lad to become available only for the move to not happen at all (see Dan Burn) all whilst we see other ideal CB's move elsewhere
