I suggest you pop along to Nomads in Merville, Paranaque City, Manila.....great sports club and very decent bar......and you will find a couple of blades frequent it too and have done so for more than 25 years!
 
Brilliant. Thanks singaporeblade, will check it out once I've found my feet a bit. Only got here late on Wed night/Thurs morning.

I am temporarily in One Central, Salcedo Village until I find my own place. I won't move far from here because it's right next door to where I work at the RCBC Plaza.

ok, that's about 40 minutes by car. suggest you take a taxi....look up the full address as the taxis are bloody useless when it comes to finding Merville village. Very friendly bar full of expats and cheap beer too (where isn't in Manila!). it is a member's club but if you explain you are just looking you will have no problem.....try Saturday pm from 5ish but Sunday afternoon from 4 is good and these is a roast on each week.
Annual rugby 7's draws teams from all over Asia and annual football tournaments good fun too. Do try it!
