Yes for health and safety reasons but not for SCMP purposes where it's considered WIP and can be carried forward to offset against previous attendance figures. Are the people thinking of renewing included in the sales figures on the OS?

To 'renew' I think you'd need to have had one in the first place if I'm not mistaken.
At the back. It's always 'at the back, somewhere'Well when someone asks where that shows in the accounts, you answer it
One of the best wide players we have had at the Lane was Colin Morris. We signed him for £100,000 from Blackpool when he was 29. A skilful and committed player who was a joy to watch. Duffy is a very similar player and, at 30, still has plenty to offer. Let's get behind CW and trust him to rebuild our team in a fashion that will give us something to cheer about again. All this negativity is disappointing.
What's wrong with the bloke wanting a bit more visibility on his investment before he commits? It's not just a monetary investment, but a big investment of both time and emotion. If I don't like the look of the squad come August I will also be picking and choosing my matches, I'm starting to find better things to do with my Saturday's now that the football is so unenjoyable (6th year in this league!), I'm also sick of committing to a season ticket then watching our best player leave in late August having signed nobody of any significance. Thus far there are some promising early signs, but I'm not being hasty, been stung too often in the past.

You just couldn't let it go..........
I've got some spare change.McCabe is still on the calculator just working out his for sale prices at the moment.
Well no danger of that happening this time round, anyway. No-one worthwhile left to sell.
Che Adams? If it did happen & the money was reinvested in the lower-league cherry-picking programme would anyone really mind? I doubt it.
Btw re: Barney's reluctance to renew, I'm just thinking he's mistaken the news we're signing Hussey in thinking we're signing Heskey. Understandable if so.
BB, what do you know about the players not being happy? Genuine question by the way.Barney is right though....a 30 year old winger who for the last half of the season looked poor, a left back who's average at best....best way I could describe him is Andy Taylor. The club could be in real trouble this season, the players we have at the club already aren't happy and unless we get 3 or 4 good players in we are looking more towards relegation.
I wonder if Barney could give us a daily temperature map of how close he is to renewing?
I'm thinking cold, tepid, Luke warm, warm, hot, boiling as a scale.
I think this kind of information would be tremendously useful for all those others out there who haven't taken the plunge yet.
This probably a mccabe dream
They could have been offered an awful deal and decided themselves to move on... entirely possible.
Er.....no.
Your list has to be disclosed to the FL (sorry, EFL). If they'd been made crap offers they would sit on them while they looked round for better. No player would immediately refuse a crap 'security offer' but would wait until he had a better one before turning it down.Your suggestion of them 'deciding to move on' suggests some kind of hippyish footballers playing for their love of the game. They have mortgages and family expenses like the rest of us so get real.
They were released because they were all shit, end of.
You think the guy who made the league one team of the year was released because he was shit?
Pete, what are you on?
I was talking about our bunch of useless tossers. Other teams might have released players due to salary constraints. We released ours because they were shit.
Discuss.......
If you've got what i've got, then renewing isn't an option.
Embarrassing being in public with a stiffy but I'm sure you could phone up or do it on line.
McCabe & Macabre ...
I like that.
Kevin Macabre - Chairman (co) of Sheffield United.
Six seasons in L1. Macabre indeed.
I'm involved in football personally
Why's that Dec because I haven't sat there and typed about how good our new manager is and how good the players are....I've told you a few realistic truths? I'm involved in football personally so take it from me I know more than most.

Hi mate, I play in league football and have contacts at Sheff Utd to answer other people's questions and from what I believe the players aren't happy, their friends/housemates etc have been bombed off....contracts where put on the table and taken away there's a lot of unrest with the current players
