even though there not first team ;)

The arrival of Gary Speed was the start of a flurry of activity in the January transfer window with three Blades players moving out, one for good.

Midfielder Ian Ross, currently on loan at Rotherham United, will become a permanent Millers' signing and, although no fee is involved, United will have a financial interest in any future deal involving the player.

Defender Evan Horwood has extended his loan at Gretna until the middle of the month, whilst Mamadou Seck has now been loaned to Scunthorpe United where he has been on trial.

A few seasons ago, Ian Ross was supposed to be the next big star, but he never got a chance in the first team, dunno why though?

Yeah he was, feel sorry for him in a way. He was never given a chance in a league game as far as i can recall....

Well he's hardly moved on to bigger and better things... none of the so-called rising stars really have and it's naive to think there aren't scouts who regularly come and watch these teams.

More local lads to litter the lower leagues seems all we are able to produce at the minute.

From what i've seen, his performances since his injury never hit the heights they did before.

Seen him out a few times, even sat drinking with him, decent enough lad... but I don't think he'll make the level we need.
