Belated Happy Birthday Tyler Durden . Take comfort in the fact that you're younger than me. My 31st birthday present was the appointment of Nigel Adkins!

looking at the contract situation i'd say we dodged a bullet with him in chargeNigel Clough stood up for what he believed in, what he was doing, and wasn't going to be told what to do by a prawn sandwich eating director of the club when quizzed about tactics etc.
He demonstrated a high level of dedication and professionalism. Do we want board members making decisions as regards Saturday afternoons ?
Hindsights a wonderful thing. Sacking Clough was an error.

Anyone remember this painting from the 80's, I used to see it everywhere, almost as if it had a life of its own.........

I remember seeing it in shop windows almost everywhere I went, I think there were a few in the series?
Singing Butler.Vettriano's Scottish. I'm surprised Clough didn't have him scouted.
Bit too tall perhaps?
Are you actually Kevin McCabe trying to justify sacking one of only two managers who made progress since leaving the Premiership? What a great day that was.
That statement is bizarre!Clough only made progress on what David Weir produced.
What a stunning achievement.
That statement is bizarre!
So please tell me our successful managers since we came down from the Premiership? If you want to count his second season as progress on his first, then go ahead. But if we're being honest we know that's far from the truth. Points per game, quality of football, value for money, everything.

Here are your David Weir players you love.
Febian Brandy, Stephen McGinn, Sean McGinty and Jasper Johns, Weirs first four signings. Then there was Harry Bunn on loan as well as Conor Coady then Florent Cuvelier Jose Baxter Oh and Lyle Taylor.
Now we Know Conor Coady was a success, But the rest? your favorite manager did well there.

I don't see how anyone could objectively view it differently. If you want to count his second season as progress on his first, then go ahead. But if we're being honest we know that's far from the truth. Points per game, quality of football, value for money, everything.
The day after your 26th birthday a ball was lost in outer space and has never been foundJust when I thought we'd put the lid back on that can of worms!
A year ago today, it was my 30th birthday. That's far more devastating.
