Listening to mccabes speech doesn't sound like NA going anywhere. We have been in a year of transition. Onwards and upwards. Billy got nearly all of awards except 2. Won by George and che. Neither sammon or Hammond in attendance

. the players want this as much as we all do
Maybe the real problem is they think they are better than they really are, thats why lesser players and teams continually show them up,nothing will change just get used to it.Yes he admitted we were poor even Billy and Na did. All admitted not as good as was expected and all are hurting but hope to come back stronger next season

Have your first likeFortunately..... Loan.
interesting Samson and Hammond not there. I know hammonds on loan, and probably gone back. Is Sammon our donkey, or his he on loan.
Mccabe said something along the lines of don't look back at how bad a season we have had. We have had a year of transition and we move on . Nigel and the players want this as much as we all do

As easy as it would be to sack Adkins now, especially after his unwise comments yesterday, totally believe the right decision is to stick with Adkins....for now. I'm quite pissed off at the bloke right for that interview which I'm still surprised at, but I think he'll turn it round for next season.
I wanted Clough out last summer because I thought he hadn't done enough with the team he assembled and his man management was poor to certain players, but in hindsight we may as well have stuck with him because it was his squad and too many were still under contract. Time for stability not change for once. If he gets off to a poor start though the fans will turn against him.
Mentioned last night in the other thread that I don't think he'll lose his job. Incredibly sadly, I think he'll be staying. It really is pointless though because he's done that much to piss fans off and reveal himself for the poor manager he is, that 2 or 3 poor games next season will almost certainly see a unanimous call for his head, and the club will then finally do the right thing and sack him anyway. But by which point another summer has been missed out on with a good chance of a relegation fight to follow with more of Adkins signings.
I'm not totally convinced we'll be fighting relegation. Nowhere near as much as I'm convinced we won't achieve automatic promotion.I'll make a bet with you that if Adkins stays and makes his own signings we won't be fighting relegation.

I think it would be silly to bet on something I'm not near certain about. Which is precisely the reason I've only made a few bets this season. One being with blade too long on us not reaching the play offs, when he said we were. With you saying in the above post that "there's a good chance we'll be fighting relegation" it sounded like you were pretty convinced.
Let me know if you want to take me up on the bet at some point.

I think they have the titty-lip on with us.......speaks volumes really.Whatever the fans' views on their inputs this season, it's pretty unacceptable of Hammond (30 league starts this season) and Sammon (15 +12 league appearances) to not attend the end of season awards.
It was an agreement of generosity as opposed to a selfish bet. £40 to the childrens hospital.Shh, I don't think he likes to talk about that stage in his life...
