We had a buzz first half but pretty much settled for the 1-0.

It was surprising how little the goal changed Huddersfield's plan. They didn't do anything until the last 20. 10 men behind the ball is never easy to play against and it was no surprise that chances were few and far between.

McAtee generally did well and had a couple of good runs but didn't look after the ball well enough.

Khadra really positive contribution off the bench. The kind of contributions others have been given starts on the back of. Let's see how it plays out, there must be a plan for him.

Sharp always looked for the ball and drifted out of position to get involved but did nothing besides scoring (!)

Egan's ability to find Huddersfield players with headers was incredible. I counted 10 in a row at one point.

No-one stood out but Clark probably MOM. Norwood kept things ticking over and sprayed the ball well to the wings.

Good to see Berge and McBurnie back on the pitch although neither did much. Berge a bit sloppy and understandably needs minutes to get up to speed.

Wes may have touched the ball a dozen times and it felt a bit frustrating to be 'hanging on' but Huddersfield offered absolutely nothing and are 24th for a reason.

Now a nice 9 day break to get ready for Wigan!

Agree with much of that.

We weren't great....more like adequate
but credit to Huddersfield who parked the bus for 75 minutes making it really difficult.
We totally dominated but created very little.

As mentioned, even when conceding to a well taken Sharp goal, Huddersfield showed no ambition.
They waited until the 80th minute before they started showing any ambition pushing men forward.

Very comfortable, pretty easy win for United but very nervy 5 minutes injury time period just continuously booting it out anywhere...inviting pressure. Overall thought our defence looked very strong...alto maybe that's because Huddersfield were poor in attack....I also thought Clarke looked excellent on the left.

Clark was excellent in the first half, played with a bit of a swagger, continually getting forward. Reminded me of a certain Jack O'Connell!
Less adventurous in the second half, but steady enough.

Well done to Darren Bond the ref for today's game. Controlled game well and good referee. But most important WHAT A WIN FOR THE BLADES. COME ON YOU BLADES

Glad this didn't go to script - inability to break weak teams down then throw it away at the end. A really good 3 points at the end.

A special yah boo hiss to Huddersfield for poor away support - poor turnout for a game in the same county.
Who was that prick kneeling on t half way line ? Good hallucinogenics going cheap in Huddersfield slums it seems.

that 1st half was brilliant i was quite impressed considering 5 week gap inbetween games in a winter break thats been unprecedented. it was a great comfort to see Billy sharp back taking those chances, he looked the old sharp. as it was worrying few months ago when he was had been missing chances that were certainties few years ago. love how Ndiaye shrugged off the 2 huddersfield defenders to assist

but what on earth happened in that 2nd half. it was dreadful. we had no pace no tempo & it was very sloppy. you could tell how bad we were as khadra who was brilliant off the bench. it was the 1st injection of pace all half. but ill take the 3 pts & how we can shake off the rust

also what on earth was that pitch invasion. very weird ran 50 yds. kneeled on halfway line & then just waited to be arrested.

WHAT A WIN. 1-0 against the worst team in the league.
Missed the chance to go top and rack up a few more goals which are worth the odd point.
WHAT A WIN. If we'd won at Burnley I'd agree.
You're incredibly easily pleased. Do you call beans on toast WHAT A MEAL?

Another performance proving he should be gett more minutes. We were very safe and boring, then he comes on and made things happen, scaring the shite out of the Hudds defence. I love how direct he is and while it doesn't always come off, at least he stretches the opposition, makes them sit a little deeper, and gives them a lot to think about when they're already tiring
Agree with that

What had the Huddersfield fans done to annoy Sharp? He seemed to be focusing on them during his goal celebrations!
