Hoping to keep it tight at first like against Citeh, same defensive lineup. Frustrate the toffees then go after em later in the game is my view. Hopefully more threat upfront when we get it there. They are soft toffees at the back on set pieces, hopefully McB might exploit this.
 

That's about as good a team as we could put out today. Shame we couldn't get Macca in quicker so he could play, as I worry about Souza and Norwood playing together. That puts a lot of pressure on Hamer to create everything. If Everton did their homework then they should be double man marking him to cut off supply to our front line. I'd have preferred a midfield of Hamer, Souza and Traore.

I don't think he's match fit (which is why you need pre season matches) which is probably why Hecky isn't risking him just yet. Reckon we'll see him after the international break tho.

It is odd he’s not even considered fit enough for 10 minutes off the bench at Lincoln.

I mean I know he’s not played for months and months or had any preseason but not sure how he’s ever going to contribute if he can’t even get on the bench.

How unfit can he be? Unless the club doctor Harold shipman has had a go on him already

How much more preseason can you get than a mostly reserve game against Lincoln with half of it used with the express purpose of getting minutes into players like mcburnie who missed preseason.

It’s odd he’s not considered fit enough to even come off the bench for 10 minutes.

Playing when not match ready's how you get injured. I'm perfectly happy for him to sit out a couple rather than come on for 10 against Lincoln and be out for the year.

Larouchi presence here fills me with nerves. Surely that fella we got on loan from Leicester would be a better option? Or even bung Baldock out left and play Bogle on the right...

The defending in every game has been awful. I’ve stopped short of criticising anyone this summer but the state of that defence is seemingly awful. Someone needs to answer as to why.
