Finances are key to clubs promotion chances .take RC Lens for example get up but due to having a dodgy chairman they couldnt pay 8 milion due to the league and today were told they will spend next season in div 2 again.You would have to feel sorry for any fans expecting to rely on dodgy chairmen.At least we can relax on the honest chairman front

be a bit crazy as its one of the grounds being rebuilt for the european championships and will be closed next season, they were having to play elsewhere , be very harsh selecting their ground for prestige games then denying them promotion because its being refurbished in frances honour

Let's not forget the Hillsborough Investigation hanging over the club.

Why would he bid £40mil for Wednesday? Then seemingly walk away from a club that has just won promotion. Seems like the current President of Lens is a bit of a twat but still Mammadov will have invested money in the club already. Not sure why you would walk away and potentially lose money especially with the club now being denied promotion.

Something just does not add up here, I doubt he is simply cutting ties and losing money with Lens to save any hassle.

That said it won't stop his takeover of Wednesday because being a bit of a sly bastard is seen as a good thing at the FA.

I dont get it , 9m or so to ensure promotion , Im sure though no where near as good as sky money , Canal plus tv money would more than make it worthwhile and bigger gates in the top league , imagine not getting in the prem because of 9 m youd beg steal or borrow it to get the rewards .
