Yesterday was probably the most annoyed I've felt watching us since the 3-3 draw at Villa. The feeling that we really should have wrapped the game up and stupidly dropped points (yes last season was frustrating but we were simply outclassed).
Hopefully our response will be similar to after the Villa game - we ground out three consecutive 1-0 away victories, aware that we had to be fully focused until the final whistle . The players need to realise that there's no use being brilliant for 30 minutes, if you then let your performance drop for the rest of the game. Some battling 1-0 wins would do me fine for the next few games!

Agree…..however there was a difference.

We outplayed Villa for 75 minutes, it was one of our best performances of the season. And Villa only had a 10 minute spell right at the end when we had to defend. The 3-3 was a total travesty, a scoreline that didn’t reflect play.

However yesterday we outplayed QPR for the 1st 30 minutes looking a class above. The game was too easy and we lost concentration taking our foot off the pedal.

Then in the 2nd half QPR matched us and once it became 2-1 we panicked as they started to outplay us.

Obviously gutted when they equalised, late ones are always the worse but didn’t feel like we’d been totally robbed.

One could argue 2-2 was a fair result.
After the Villa game we went on a run of wins and Wilder said that result improved the team mentality.

So let’s see how we react from the QPR game, sounds daft but it could turn into a blessing. If we convincingly beat Norwich away next week then many will say we learnt from our complacency in the QPR game.

We knew that Villa game wasn't typical of our team and defending.

At present we don't really know what this new back line is capable of as yet. I also don't think they got enough protection either for a good part of the second half.
