We have signed LJF, Porter, Flynn and Mcdonald yet the only one to get a game is Mcdonald.

The rest we have replaced with loan players. Did we not scout these players to see if we thought they would fit in?
Seems daft to me to sign someone and then bring a loan in to replace them. Not complaining about Clarke and Phillips coming in but it just seems strange thats all. We knew we needed a keeper but did nowt, we knew we needed a centrehalf but did nowt

You make it sound so easy.

Perhaps LJF and Flynn need time to settle in and mature as players.

I think they will both do well for United given time. Not all players fly off the mark.

On the subject of goalies, you're right we did need someone.

Trouble is, good keepers are a valuable commodity and not easy to find when you're skint.

Maybe so. I would venture to suggest, however, that keepers who are better than the two we have on our books are relatively easy to find.

Very true Rev...

I venture that you would be surprised. Just my opinion of course.

There are enough good keepers about but they are all no.1 for better sides.

Lots of other clubs have keepers who make mistakes.

Put any one of them behind our defence and I would expect the same outcome.

Finding an assured pair of hands under any circumstances is tricky and expensive.

LJF lost his place due to suspension, that's when we brought Williams in initially as cover for the LB role, but Williams kept his place due to form, up untill Saturday he'd hardly put a foot wrong. I think LJF looks steady enough but Williams has offered a better threat going forward. LJF can also play at CB maybe it's to try him there and give young Harry a rest.

Porter has made 10 starting appearences in the league and 3 as subs, he's been highly involved, and it's been mentioned by Cresswell that the strikers will play on rotation. Kevin McDonald has started the same amount of games.

Flynn obvisously hasn't adjusted in my eyes yet, but still he's been involved in just under half the games this season, as a young lad at 22, trying to adjust to the English game and still learning his trade, that isn't too bad of a ratio, the last couple of sub appearences he's looked more comfortable and far more composed in possession, hopefully he'll still be developing and when his chance comes again he'll grasp it.

They've all been involved.
