Wilder lost his first 4

Ok so we're equal, whatever happens in the next 2 games, we can only better Wilders first 4.

That didn't turn out too bad, did it?

I think you are setting yourself up to fail here.

Our season could well turn out to be successful and maybe even promotion winning. It may on the other hand go the other way.

However, whichever way the season goes I am willing to bet that we will not get 99 points from our next 44 games.

This isn't league 1.

This isn't league 1.

I'm well aware of that. But the the post I was replying to was comparing our initial results under Wilder with our results under Jokanovic, irrespective of which division we were in under either manager.

New formation and our defence are used to wilders it'll take time at least slav as a plan B and changes it mid match hopefully 3 points tonight and I'm always optimistic,if we do get the 3 points tonight it's game on.

Wilder's first 4 league games:

Bolton 1-0 United
United 1-1 Rochdale (Sharp)
United 0-3 Southend (the nadir)
Millwall 2-1 United (Scougall)

You'll notice that he had the same number of points as Jokanovic does after 2 games. We also had the tactical epiphany for the sixth game (Gillingham away): it remains to be seen whether that will happen this year.

Wilder also lost his first round league cup game: 2-1 at home to Crewe after extra time.

I’ve said this before and heard it on Beans / Roy’s podcast
That in November of our managers first season in charge at Fulham they were 17th
Cardiff who I think pipped em for promotion at one stage were 25 points ahead , Fulham ended up trailing them by 2 ,
Where and when it counts at the end of the season
I don’t expect us to replicate that form
But I’m fucking willing to give the current manager at Sheffield United some time to sort out the team / squad
I’m not impressed by the way we’ve been playing in the last few games or the whole of last season under the previous manager
But I’m prepared to wait and see how over 46 games this season pans out
