Tommy Smith apparently on the way to Portsmouth, Keane is apparently after Carlos Edwards and has already had a fee agreed for Leadbitter - he will be a great signing at Championship level.

Apparently two Championship teams have put bids in for Raziak at Southampton - I wouldn't have thought that we would be one but you never know.

According to my Blackpool mates this morning, they didn't even notice Watson was playing which says it all. Mind you, it wasn't exactly a good night for Wigan.

Don't think it would necessarily be a mistake but I don't think he'd provide the box to box athleticism and attacking drive Blackie says he's after. From what I've seen of him in the last 3 or 4 seasons, he's played the 'Monty role' for want of a better phrase !

For what it's worth, I'd love to have him back, but I'd be very surprised if we could afford his wages.

That's it in a nutshell for me, would love to see him back but not on big wages when they could be better used on a younger, probably keener player.

the man we need is James Harper, he's not in Readiong's team and they are obviously trying to get rid of him. he is the box to box player we have been looking for the last few seasons. If not I'd take Watson from Wigan, one of the best midfielders in the division when at Palace.

You have to ask yourself why Harper can't get a game for a below par Reading team.

Harper's no better than Williamson....tell me you're having a laugh? he's the player that made em tick in midfield. he's won promotion twice with them and did well in the premiership. there is no comparison between the two and I'd expect him to get signed by a lower half premiership team. the reason he's not in Reading's team is the new manager is blooding all the youngsters, working well isn't it

Exactly, Harper would be excellent for us, as would Watson IMO
