If Weir had not got the job, who was second choice. Was it actually down to Wally Downes?
Karl Robinson allegedly said (?) that the club wouldn't pay the money. I know about McCall (who may have been more interested had he known an investor was coming).
I think if it was left to Wally then maybe there was little choice! However perhaps Rusell Slade would not have been such a silly choice after all. Presumably he was responsible for helping nurture some of our previously good youngsters such as Jags and Tonge?
