And come on, let's be realistic!

I reckon Alex Smithies at Huddersfield is a good Keeper, something we've needed for a while now.

I love that you wanted people to put realistic signings, and then used an example of a player who is clearly out of our reach! Good chance Hudders will go up this year and, even if they don't, I imagine there will be bigger and better clubs in for Smithies.

I would be looking at:

Ross Mccormack (Leeds)
Ryan Lowe (Bury)
left winger and a left-back, but im not sure who. If we could get Mattock, then brilliant, doubt it though.

Simmo/long
Lowton Morgan Maguire Mattock
Lowe Quinn Harriott ????????
Slew Mccormack

Looksa a decent league 1 outfit to me. Maybe a young loanee for left mid from a premier league team?

is Erik Tonne a midfielder or a striker? He could be used on the left wing if that's a position he can play?

No more loanees, we need to get this loan habit out of the club, as it's a very big reason why we are now in the shit!

No more loanees. No more Billy-Big-Time twats who think they are doing us a favour. Players with some passion, and some guts, and perhaps a little skill too? If Micky Adams can't identify players in the lower leagues that we want and can afford then perhaps a new manager too.

We need to be finishing in the top two next season. Alas, i can see us fucking it up royally and flirting with another relegation and possibly even administration.

Oh well, it could be worse.....

One or two quality loanees can be a good thing. Our problem has been having far too many loanees, several of whom have been - how can I put it - crap!

There's nothing wrong with having 1 or 2 loanees, as long as they are quality and we will see the best of them. QPR have 2 loanees, and they are quality, and have helped them push on. We would have about 6points less if we hadn't had Andy Reid on loan earlier in the season. i understand the sentiment, but having 1 or 2, means we can get quality players without paying a fee for them, and can provide something extra to what we already have.

I also hope we can sign Lowry permanently.

For me loans should be about bringing in a player that ordinarily you would have very little chance of signing, that can help you push on. They are there to supplement your squad. They should not be the core of your squad, which is what's happened this season.

Nope, I'm fed up with this club not having it's own players. I'd sooner bring our kids through than a journeyman loanee, or a loanee kid gaining experience, regardless of how good they are. This is our club, and we deserve to see our own players, not loanees who quite frankly, couldn't give a fuck what happens if they aint coming back!

I know it'd be looking a league down again, but surely some of Div 2s better performers might be worthy of stepping up?

The problem with loans is also they tend to get taken from you at inconvenient times, like Vokes and Reid, or as already said aren't up for the fight (Bent, Nos).

A team bonded and playing as a unit needs to be priority 2, after the wage bill leeches are shipped out.

Neither Reid nor Vokes were 'taken' from us. Their loans finished and they went back to their respective clubs. Nothing sinister about it whatsoever, though both could have been recalled by their clubs that is true.

The walker loan is a good example of how a parent club can totally screw the loanee club up.

Tommy Lee (Chesterfield)
Elian Parrino (Estudiantes)
Gareth McAuley (Ipswich)
Kieran Djilali (Crystal Palace)
Danny Philliskirk (Chelsea)
Theo Robinson (Millwall)
Alan Lee (Huddersfield)

Well one out of that list has already been confirmed!

I wonder if Nyron Nosworthy is out of contract this summer.........

With Vokes and Reid we lost them to the system was what I meant. By the time they were fit and showing worth to the team they returned.

A season long loan runs the risk of paying a salary for an injured player, but those 2 players were signed on shortsighted deals for me. A little confused how Vokes can return to Wolves now and be selected by them as thought FIFA stated only 2 clubs per season.

Is Philliskirk a signing or a season long loan?

Philliskirk has signed on now.

He looked a bit over keen today, maybe cos his Dad was in the stand, but showed some promise. As did McAllister, who'll have benefited from 90mins. Slew was a breath of fresh air too and a better foil for Hendo than Ched has ever looked. We still lacked wing play though so I hope there are some targets out there.

i personally would love to see mccormack partnering slew. Great record with cardiff, and now doesn't get a game with leeds

Seriously...

Stuart Tomlinson - Port Vale (get rid of Simonsen...and bring him in,creating competition for the shirt between him,Mikel Aksalu, and George Long)
Craig Davies - Chesterfield (straight replacement for Henderson)
Clayton Donaldson - Crewe Alexandra (as above if Chesterfield won't sell)

Also available on Bosmans...(but we'd need to do a post office over to pay their wages...)

Kevin Phillips - Birmingham
Danny Murphy - Fulham
Giles Barnes - WBA

Surely you can't be serious about Clayton Donaldson?

I remember him signing for the Hobos after scoring a barrowload for York in the Conference and he was truly, truly awful. I think League 2 is as good as it gets for him and would be embarrassed to think of him turning out for the Blades.

Tomlinson, Lowton, Maguire, Lowry, Mattock, Lowe, Whittaker, Bishop, McAllistair, Henderson, Slew: That would be my starting line up.
Tomlinson: Goalkeeper from Port Vale who Adams will know fairly well.
Lowe: Winger from Bury! One of L2's top scorers!
Whittaker: Central midfielder from Chesterfield. Proven goalscore and good penalty taker!
Bishop: From Notts County, impressed me in the game vs Man City!

That would be who I'd bring in!
