Sammon has played well. Dip in form. Scapegoat of the Month.

Please tell me that's something else "lost in translation".

He's been dire, but tries more than some. Ive seen him coming off when substituted looking gutted. I think he does care but to say he's played well is so wide of the mark it's laughable.

Started a thread about it and stand by it.

To me it's blindingly obvious he's been a good player - and there's been a dip in form.

He gets grief in large part for not doing things he's not meant to do.

He took a huge pay cut to come as well.

He's looked out of sorts, but that could be for any number of reasons.

He strikes me as a sensitive chap and could be affected by what's going on around him.

If he's here next season and things do pick up we might see better performances.

I do think it's a dilemma for Adkins as well. He's talismanic in some ways and dropping him might be technically justified but wildly unpopular.

He is still attacking fairly well, and was prominent at Rochdale but we're conceding hatfuls down our right. Is that down to him?

Don't know.
Wildly unpopular with whom? He's out of form, leading to goals being thrown away and is a liability.

Winning balls in the air, scoring goals?

How long will this dip in form last?

That video is your proof he's "played well" ?

I'm not really sure why Connor chose soccer over egg chasing.

He could definitely been a very decent prop forward, so long as he never had to intercept the ball in flight (as he wouldn't).

Does Brayford want to be here? Surely he only came because of Clough.
He must regret his move to bdtbl.
Why, can he only play for Clough? He was in a dark place at Cardiff by all accounts, and now Nigel #1 has gone here he can't hack it again? Fuck sake.

Re bad eggs Scougall for one, he's been tweeting negative stuff which never helps.
One negative tweet that I saw, 3 words "same old shit" just after the Bury game. Given he's not been getting a look in that's possibly an understandable vent of frustration if he actually does give a shit.

It was perhaps a comment on his own performance.

Well based on this...

The players who are the problem are the most obvious ones, who have not put in much effort all season, have vanished, or have already moved on (not James Wallace). There are players who are claiming to be more hurt than they are as they look towards pastures new, and when they play are not seen on the pitch for weeks.

Not much effort: Brayford, Coutts, Done, Adams, Sammon

Vanished: Kennedy, Diego, K Wallace, Scougall, McFadzean

Already moved on: McNulty, Freeman, Higdon, Harris

Claiming to be injured: Harris, Flynn, K Wallace, Scougall

The only one I'd be surprised with there is K Wallace.

You are the only guy I know that can post 2 minutes highlights of a 0-0 game and try to use thieves evidence that a striker has played well most of the season.

Beggars belief.

I particularly like the desire and commitment to win the ball back at around 1 minute 30

I don't see where he does try Sean, many a time he just stands there watching a ball he should be challenging for. Lack of talent is understandable, lack of effort unacceptable.

WHF is a fully paid up member of the Nigel Clough school of thought re strikers, i.e. it doesn't matter if they score goals or not.

To me, that's nuts.

Sammon should try doing the things that centre forwards normally do, like winning the ball, heading it, even running a bit once in a while. Then the fans might cut him some slack. Just a thought.

If he's pining for his master Clough and showing it through his game, he should write out his letter of resignation now. A future career as a bricklayer surely beckons as things stand.
The worst thing is we are paying all of his £14k a week wages!
