Which would garner a great improvement in the fortunes of SUFC…

We have an owner who wants what is probably an unrealistic amount of money for the club. He is financially out of his depths massively when it comes to the championship never mind the premier league which in turn results in a laughable budget for the manager to work with. Let’s not kid ourselves that Hecky is doing a reasonable job all things considered because he isn’t but while ever the current owner is in place we won’t make any progress and could plummet badly if nothing is done soon to halt the alarming slide we are on

Depends on what length of time you're talking.

Changing the owner might not change much immediately l, but in the long run we'd might see a lot of change. The opposite is true if we changed manager.

If the change happened right now I guess, I think the new owner would have some form of impact in Jan.

Can Heckingbottom fire the Prince?

Manager it is then.

On train back. Left at 4-0. Never left a game early in 40 odd years of watching United. That was fucking woeful regardless of who we were playing. He's got to go. I honestly can't name a replacement but that performance was unacceptable even taking into account injuries.

Changing owner now wouldn’t alter anything on the pitch until January at the earliest but would change the big picture much more significantly. That’s assuming we’re getting a better and richer owner, which is by no means certain.

Changing manager now gives us a chance of salvaging something from this season. Not staying up, but some scraps of dignity.

Ideally both would change but we can change the manager now if want whereas no one seems to want to buy us.

There are no guarentees that changing the manager or the owner would actually improve our fortunes.

Obviously if someone bought us and started waving the cheque book around, that might help, but equally you could end up with a Chansiri, so you should be careful what you wish for.

Can’t argue with that

Heckingbottom hasn't helped himself, but this season you have to blame the board, I'm honestly thinking that us selling Illiman and Sander might be some of the worst business the club has ever done

We know we lack the quality needed and when that's the case you need organisation, passion and spirit to survive and right now we have none of these.

If Hecky can get them motivated, then great, if not we have to look elsewhere.

If we want a better short term....change the manager
If we want a better long term......change the owner.
So BOTH.
