In My Opinion Vini Souza,Arblaster,Anel,Hamer, are Already Premier League Level then Burrows,O’Hare and Cooper Are Very Close and Will Be Premier League and Andre Brooks Could Also With a Bit of Development

Think Souza is in the right team and system, but I don't know if one battling relegation suits him. If he had better players around him he'd be such an asset. That said it's down to us to get it right in the window if we do manage to get promoted again to put better players around him. We need to be better than last time

Yes they really looked premier league level last season didn't they, the prem clubs were flocking to try and buy them in the summer. 🙄

Souttar (assuming loan players aren't excluded), Cooper, Arblaster and Hamer.
Jury's out on a few others.

Arblaster and Hamer.

Those are the only 2 that are genuinely PL level and even then, I am not sure which side I could see them starting for other than those recently promoted.

The gap is so big, I would put most of our core squad in the level between champ and PL.

I can't see any PL side coming in for any other players apart from as cover if in desperate need. Souttar is immense for us... he was loaned out by a relegation likely side which probably shows they thought he wasn't ready for the step up. Moore won promotion last year but wasn't resigned.

Both could probably start for Wolves and probably Everton. Teams like West Ham, Palace, Brentford could start one of them. They’d both start for the promoted teams imo as well.

If/when we go up we'll need to replace some of our squad, some who are not ready or not good enough to survive the premiership, we needed to do this last time we came down, thankfully the message has got through and squad improved imo. Not many months back folks were saying they'd drive such and such a player to sell him, now they are back in the good books. With Luton, L..ds and Boro coming up we'll get a good idea of their quality, we haven't pulled any trees up yet, but fingers crossed we can step up UTB

Technically, Auston Trusty is Champions League level.
So was John Lundstram 🤢

Something of a misrepresentation because most Premier League teams would take Celtic, Slovan Bratislava or Young Boys to the cleaners.

We've played seven games.

Ask me again in thirty nine games time, if it's still relevant.

I still think this current squad will finish mid table this season.!

Yes, we have some quality players, but the rebuild is only half done. Very few of our current players will impact the PL.

If no one is sold this season, they will form the basis of a quality side next year. A side that will be able to compete, and stay in the PL. Young squads need time to develop into something special.

We have had easier fixtures up to now. After Swansea it gets harder not easier. Give this squad a chance to grow and dev.elop.

If we do go up this season. Namer and Arblaster will leave and move up. If we finish 7th this season, we will walk the championship next season. If we fluke promotion, we will be relegated again.

Kind of an odd thread, no? As we saw last season, none of them are Premier League level maybe other than Hamer.

I don't understand how anyone can possibly say Souza and Anel are Premier League standard after last season. They're not even close.

I'd say this squad is weaker than last seasons when you consider we've lost McAtee and BBD, just doesn't seem it with the difference in quality of championship and Premier league.

Celtic are victims of their own success in Scotland.
They basically don't have to do any defending at all, and if a team shocks them by taking the lead they just switch on and score three or four in return.

In Europe they can't defend because they never have to do any defending domestically.

This is shown by other Scottish clubs who are proven to be many, many, many times worse than Celtic domestically but they don't get battered in Europe as often

Keeping games tight and boring like you need to do away from home in Europe is something that they just can't do, it's not instilled or needed to be practiced by the team

Rangers have done pretty well in the Europa League, a lot better than Celtic in recent years

Brendan Rogers is the reason Celtic get battered in Europe, he refuses to change his tactics and thinks he can go to Dortmund and play the same game they would against st Johnstone , look how many of Celtics hammerings in Europe have come with him in charge , 7-1, 7-0, 6-0 at least 2 x 5-0

Exactly my point, they are shyte.
But they spend a fair bit of most games defending because there no better than Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen.
That ability to be able to batten down the hatches and defend like fuck is something completely alien to Celtic.

Well, vini and Anel have already played there and looked nowhere near 🤷
