Which is a better type of relegation to suffer, 20/21 or 06/07?

Both awful, but 20/21 wasn’t just any season being rock bottom. That first half of the season was like a nightmare that you didn’t know how to handle because you’d never even seen a team have a season like that. It was the fucking pits and particularly heartbreaking after the bliss of the previous 4 years.

06/07 was complete and utter shock.

After 06/07, 2012 against the pigs and then 20/21 I think it’s safe to say Unitedites have an amazing iron stomach for the bad times. Losing on penalties to forest was a piece of cake in comparison.

It was so cruel.

93/94 I was on a boat on the River Rhine. SW radio stuck to my ear, fading in and out. Wife asked me wtf I was doing (on holiday) and why did I look so miserable.
Bloody awful day. I imagine a bit like someone pulling a very sticky bandage off your hairy balls, very slowly.

I'd far rather experience a season like 20/21 again than 93/94 or 06/07 or even 11/12 (which felt like a relegation) again.

As always, the despair I can cope with, its the hope that kills...

That's a good point. The forest game last year was just another day at the office, shrug of the shoulders and move on. I was more annoyed that the scabs were through to the final than surprised that we weren't, if that makes any sense at all?
