When you're about to concede a goal...

We’ve got two weeks to wait let’s have some fun with this first :D

That, my friend, is an excellent point. I take back what I just said. :)

It’s dirty Leeds, for fek’s sake. Never mind two weeks. We remember Bremner, Revie, et al, like it was yesterday. This one will run for two decades!

I was watching in my local cricket club with a few Wanderers fans and a Leeds fan. In the first half I expressed my view of Chris Basham’s limitations in midfield. When he scored, I couldn’t help let out a “Baaaaaash!” at volume, at which point the Leeds fan said “you’ve been slagging him off all game” as though that meant I had no right to celebrate it.

The Wanderers fans were either amazed he was still around, or in one case couldn’t remember him playing for them. Imagine not being able to remember a legend like Our Chris playing for your club......

Anyone who thinks Bash had a good game in the first half has an odd view of football. He was way off it and the move there had backfired really because he constantly gave it away.

However, I was (like you probably) bemoaning the decision to put him there, not him personally, because, as with every single minute he plays, the desire to do well and effort was there in spades. He was just struggling against very good players.

I went nuts when he scored too. A bit of moaning first half doesn’t take away our right to do that don’t worry!

This is what it looks like!

Just look at the range of expressions on these Leeds fans faces as the sudden reality dawns upon them that they are about to concede a goal to their biggest local rivals! Some beauties there! :D

By strange coincidence the cinema audience has the same expressions while watching Bambi trying to walk on ice...

In years to come , Bash will be remembered & talked about as fondly as any of our greats from the past.
