Unfortunately we’ve bought too many players like Brewster and Grbic with no money back, no guarantee!
Whats Bolton got to do with owt in this threadThe Del Boy School of Commerce
Coming from a Trotter, you could make it up!
I dont think folks are upto speed with what Wilder said in his interview yesterday,he said.......we are going to be doing some Wheeling and Dealing.Unfortunately we’ve bought too many players like Brewster and Grbic with no money back, no guarantee!
Grbic looks like a big mistake, although he came into a team suffering from shell shock and he got caught up in it big time 5-2 Brighton. He can't be as bad as his short time as our no 1 suggests!.Unfortunately we’ve bought too many players like Brewster and Grbic with no money back, no guarantee!
Be afraid , be very afraid ...I dont think folks are upto speed with what Wilder said in his interview yesterday,he said.......we are going to be doing some Wheeling and Dealing.
Look at our recent permanent signings for all the evidence you need.I'm fully expecting another summer to last time we came down. No money spent on transfer fees.
I expect some free signings and yet more money wasted on expensive loan signings who we'll have to replace again the season after.
Every summer this club says it's made mistakes and will learn from them. They don't. They just made even worse mistakes and come out with pitiful excuse after pitiful excuse while they're making them.

Brewster when fit never really impressed - I can't see anyone taking him off our hands / wage bill - but he's ok , he can retire on the £7.5m we'll have paid him over 5 years - yes , £7.5m , just think about that for a moment.Grbic looks like a big mistake, although he came into a team suffering from shell shock and he got caught up in it big time 5-2 Brighton. He can't be as bad as his short time as our no 1 suggests!.
Brewster was just bad luck in my opinion not got going due to injuries! Last chance saloon for him ,another season like his recent ones will see him tumble down the divisions unless some club took a gamble on him.
Stay fit and we have a match winner.
And yet we've spent 3 of 5 last years in the prem.I'm fully expecting another summer to last time we came down. No money spent on transfer fees.

Two of those three seasons not really fighting relegation as in both of them we were rudderless, leaderless on and off the pitch and bloody woeful overall. And yet we've spent 3 of 5 last years in the prem.
Yep down again! We must have done something right in that time ! Yes ?
Not disputing facts! Still spent 3 years in prem and I repeat we must have done something right. Two of those three seasons not really fighting relegation as in both of them we were rudderless, leaderless on and off the pitch and bloody woeful overall.
Last time we finished 9th then didn't pick up our first win until January! We finished that season on 23 points and picked up 9 of those points AFTER we were relegated, meaning that Wilder only picked up 14 points before he walked. Let's face it, we've only won three games this season and Hecky got one of them!
This time round we have been arguably the worst team in Premier League history but for Derby's woeful points tally, but I'd put my money on that Derby team beating this current Blades team, especially given that we lost 9-1 on aggregate to Burnley.
I'm not one for clutching at straws and trying to make out that we've been successful in having three out of the last five seasons in the Premier League, as two of those seasons were an embarassment and we haven't moved on at all in the last five years. We've regressed.
Was getting promoted worth it? So much for the golden pot and entering the land of the rich. We're coming out of it with several players out of contract, a striker on loan who needs replacing, no sellable assest other than the two players we want to keep, no money as we're having to use it to pay off McCabe for the final ransom he's been holding us to, and for the new training ground, which may be ready when we're back in League One.
I'm personally dreading this summer as I don't like the messages coming from Wilder and I don't trust him with signings anynore as his record since the summer of 2018 has been abysmal overall.
New training ground, hotel opening and land behind the Kop purchased. Was getting promoted worth it? So much for the golden pot and entering the land of the rich. Yes but we’ve done as much right as wrong. And yet we've spent 3 of 5 last years in the prem.

The facts are facts ! we still have had a remarkable period since Wilders first period , with 2 owners who couldn't support the club to the extent it needed to maintain prem status.Yes but we’ve done as much right as wrong.
Promoted twice, fantastic.
Comprehensively relegated twice, not so good
I agree, all I’m trying to say is that the relegations are as factual as the promotions. The facts are facts ! we still have had a remarkable period since Wilders first period , with 2 owners who couldn't support the club to the extent it needed to maintain prem status.
Hopefully that will change with new owners! When you consider how bad it was when Wilder came in we have had a remarkable period of growth yes growth!.
Take Ipswich as a success story built on the back of sustained support from new owners they would still be trying to get out of league one without them! That's what proper investment can do for you.
Blades had none of that with Wilder using what limited funds he got to progress us to premiership.
That's when our problems really started the gap in quality is massive and although the Prince gave it a go it wernt enough. .
To progress we are now in the hands of new owners( fingers crossed) with hopefully enough clout to get us going again . .
We have some good players also big gaps we have to plug with quality not squad fillers.
Some of the ITK's on here are amazing really ! The crap some posters come out with is incredible .
It's what lies between that tells the full story!.I agree, all I’m trying to say is that the relegations are as factual as the promotions.
