What's happened to those players released?

We are waiting for the result of the referendum before we let them go. They are all destined to be signed by Juve at the moment but Kev wants to pay Juve in £'s to take them off our hands and Juve wants Euros.

Other than Cuvelier (Walsall)?

Might some still play under non contract terms?

By my reckoning most of them are still without a club! Notably Ryan Flynn, JCR, Jay McEveley, Bob Harris and Mark Howard. Michael Higdon also without a club! Probably tells you a bit there, but then you've still got some decent freebies that are available from the championship too, so its not that unusual.

I saw an interview with the Aberdeen boss on sky yesterday who said players were still coming back from their holidays and that the euros was also slowing things down.

With our new strategy too it's possible we can't confirm o'connell until Egan has actually signed for brentford, but I admit it's frustrating

Not technically our released player but sammon has gone to hearts

I would have thought Portsmouth might have snapped most of them up by now.

What's happened to them is something like this.....................

Sign them in a month and save on the wages. No hurry no competition for most of them

I was hoping nothing has happened to them....nothing at all. Not even a whiff of non league.

With no loans next season it's quite possible that a lot of free agents either get snapped up just before the transfer window closes as panic signings, or are left unemployed a while longer, then picked up on short-term deals to plug gaps that would normally be filled by a loanee.

Most of our released players will be hoping to stay in League 1, so depending on how much money they have saved up might risk staying unattached in the hope that an opportunity crops up that isn't there at the moment.
