Seems to have gone from talisman and fan favourite to an unhappy, confidence lacking defensive liability, if Maceverly had turned in a few performance like Brayford has over the last few weeks we would verbally ripping him limb from limb.

Was again poor today only the truly awful Woolford saved him from being worst player.

I am wondering if those sceptics asking was it Sheffield United or Nigel Clough he wanted to play for were right all along.

He's really down on confidence, but we saw some flashes today, that said, you're right, he wasn't great, neither was Woolford, but neither were really bad. I'll take that today though. We needed a reasonable team performance and a win and whilst it wasn't spectacular today, it was ok.

Wondering this as well, has not looked anything like the same player who came here on loan, even before the injury.

I expected him to look a class above in this division but he is struggling to have an impact at either end, we need more from him as he is on very good wages.

He's far better when pushing further upfield, totally different prospect.
As a right-back though, he's as much of a bomb-scare as the other lot.

He was playing wing back today though, I expected him to excel in that roll, still struggled though.

Not been the same since Clough changed his beard oil supplier..

Didn't think he was that bad today but does need someone in front of him. Could have scored. Would be nice to hear the beard song again. Perhaps that's what he needs. Fan's singing about Billy., coutts gets recognised when he comes on. The beard came to us because he loved the fans and the club, perhaps we should show him a bit of love and support him

He was bound to have a dip in form eventually. I think he has done well to hit any kind of form since his return when you consider he was out injured for most of last year.

He's had an average season. He's still good enough for 1st XI for me. As Tyler said, way better going forward.

I think we have to remember that whatever is happening behind the scenes in regards to players leaving can be unsettling, and I know he is a friend of Baxter.

Was a lot better for me today

In the system we played today he found himself isolated in advanced positions a few times. Hammond needed to get closer to him, or one of the strikers come across. Brayford's never going to dribble past his marker with any regularity.

It would've helped him, and the whole team, if Flynn had been played on the right hand side of the midfield three.

I think he will be great in this role if we stick with this formation. already getting into it in 2nd half.

One problem he's had in recent weeks is that he's made runs and the ball doesn't get played, leaving him 20 yards out of position when we lose it. If no one has covered for him the questions is "where the f is Brayford?"

Having said that he's better going forward than defending and sometimes takes risks, today's formation should be made for him

It's just a bad spell of form, we know he's a good player, he gives everything unlike that low life we've got shut of , we as fans can help by getting behind our talisman and helping him through it.
He'll get through this

I thought Brayford was quite good today. But the problem with that is that it was in attack when I thought that. So youve got a point. Maybe we should try what Harry Redknapp did with Gareth Bale at spurs. At Left Back bale was struggling there that infamous newspaper that he nearly went to Birmingham for 3m (3 1/2 yrs before he went for 85m) but Harry push him further up field on to the Left wing ridding him of his defensive responsibilities & he excelled
