I am sure in my loft there are two...United win a league title...last seen 1982...cough..don't mention what league though...United win a cup...lol....No one alive who saw that in 1925...weth a few bob now.
1925 cup finals in good nick are going for about 700-800 at the moment. Was over a grand a couple of years ago

I know it's a long shot but as any one got the Blades v Northampton town programme from 1966 new year's day

"If anyone has a copy of the single sheet Blades v Wolves programme from the FA cup 4th round on the 29th January 1947 then I'd like first refusal. You'll be sitting on a potential goldmine! It's without doubt the rarest post war Blades programme."

Was that due to them only being issued in the Directors box? Huddersfield replay in the cup late 40s is another that's worth a bit. League programme post war that's worth the most, Chelsea home 54-55 season???

I was given a Hearts vs Sheffield United programme (1962) from a jam tart supporting workmate in Botswana many years ago. Interesting fact is that it was for Willie Bauld`s (known as "The King") testimonial, and apparently he never returned to Tynecastle for 13 years after that game, as he was actually charged for the cost of the match ball!

I got gave to me some old programmes a few years ago off a customer (1960's).
I've looked on Ebay and just a normal home game programme goes for between 1-2 quid, but i've got a few what i think would be weth a bit more but some aren't listed.

There's Joe Shaws testomonial game (with ticket)
Cec Coldwells testomonial (with ticket)
Around 40 reserve and youth games.
Around 40 away programmes (Including Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Pigs etc)
FA Cup Replay V Bury at Hillsborough, FA Cup Semi-Final V Leicester at Elland Road and Replay at Forrest.
Few England V Scotland with tickets aswell.
Any ideas??
Have a like for 'weth'

I'm a United programme collector like Sharrowblade. To be fair the tickets are probably worth more than the programmes. Doubt any of your programmes are worth more than a couple of quid and the tickets £3-4 max each. The youth/ reserves maybe worth more if they are from the 70s. Big game programmes are collectable but common therefore not valuable. The majority of Utd programmes don't start increasing in value until you get back to the early 50s and before (mid 50s for reserves). The only "modern" day united programmes of any value are single sheet Anglo Scottish cup games from the 70s but don't get too excited.

Can't disagree with that Sponge, just to add there is the odd friendly that can be quite tasty. Condition should also be taken into consideration. especially those 60s programmes with rusty staples :D

PS Can you afford the Wolves programme????

Probably,....... Correct....... and Yes

He's no chance at this price, writing on the front and sellotape on the inside.

Book shops are even worse, there's a couple of them asking for over £2000-£3000.

Pre War Cup Finals can differ dramatically in price from seller to seller.

A couple have sold on ebay in the last three months, one for £700 the other for £1300.

It doesn't ring true for me as the guy selling for £1300 is the biggest bulls*****r on ebay, and has a lot of little friends who only bid on his items and surprisingly never actually win. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

Affording it would be hard. Managing to buy it without a certain other collector finding out would be impossible!!
:(

Maybe the Portsmouth (postponed) December 1946 and Hull (postponed) February 1953 but for actual matches played then yes, with Sharrowblade your bang on about the Chelsea one. The Huddersfield cup replay is Jan 57.

Got a United Under 23 V England Youth 11, can't be many o' them knocking about. Also a single sheet United V Pigs reserve League Cup game.

Item no. 371805339948 on eBay mate
Starting bid £1.00. You'll probably get it for that
Thanks again , I bought it for £1. it's from the day i was born and my wife tried to get it for my fiftieth, she spent age's looking for one but couldn't find it. I've tried for the last year on and off looking for one, I got told that because it was Northampton's only ever time in the top division, a lot of their fans collected programmes for all the games that season. Thanks again. ( Although there like buses just seen another one for sale)

No tape on mine, or writing, but a bit of a crease across the middle. No doubt put in a pocket on the day :)

Depends on the amount of work it requires. Never used him personally, it is what other collectors tell me. The big boys go to him, he has an excellent reputation.

He's ten minutes away from Bert.
Bert has a 1966 World Cup final programme which he paid 2/6 for outside White Hart Lane, in his youthful wisdom he wrote the teams inside. It would look better blank.
