I think some of the things they did last night were out of order. Coining Wardy as he lay on a stretcher singing 'die, die, piggy die' is a disgrace. So what if he reminded them what the score was, they were already singing that to him before he did that.

Also, apparently the pigs absolutely trashed our toilets and parts of the away end, pissing all over everywhere. What absolute smelly scrubbers they are. I think we should send a bill over to cover for the damage.

The bill wouldn't get paid - it'd be added to the long list of debts to pay.

Offer their fans chance to repair the damage and get a free ticket for a pre season friendly with Wigan. They'll come flocking.

Ban 'em from coming next season ;)

Out of interest, is there any confirmed proof that the unclean were spitting and throwing coins at Wardy? Singing 'die die Piggy Piggy die' is one thing - and something that I'm sure we wouldn't be above - but is there actually any truth in the other allegations? Or is it an urban myth, like the golden showers from last time we played them at our place?

there was plenty of coin throwing ,as there was when we had corners ,Treacy gave the lino a couple .

Berating coin throwing and pissing is a bit ironic from Unitedites...

The irony is your fans always taking the moral highground when your fans are worse behaved than ours - FACT.

The unfortunate thing is that we know that it happens both ways. We can make jokes about the Wednesday fans doing it but we know that there will be some idiots wearing red and white who will do the same thing at Swillsborough. It's sad because 99.9% of both red and blue fans just want the derby match to be full of passion, desire, banter and entertainment on the pitch with more ecstacy than despair - most don't give a toss about all this nonsense with coins, fighting etc ...

Yes, I swear more at the derby. I think we all do. We gloat more, we take pride in this result more than any other when we win. I despair more when we lose. But it is football. And anyone who deludes themselves into thinking it's anything more is clearly a moron. I cannot understand the mentality of United fans who wanted to fight and cause trouble last night when they should have been on Cloud 9 like the rest of us. I cannot understand the mentality of Wednesday fans who wanted to fight and cause trouble last night when they should have simply wanted to find a quiet place where they could try and forget the result!

I hate Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. I hate their blue and white shirts. I hate their stupid badge. I hate Owls. I dislike Pigs because they represent Sheffield Wednesday FC. I hate the eyesore that is Hillsborough. I'm sure Wednesday fans have similar views about SUFC, the red and white, Blades and Bramall Lane.

But do I hate their players? No. I hope they lose every game they play. But I don't hate them. I pity them slightly for being Wednesday players. I don't hope they get hurt. I don't wish injury on them. I hope they are happy people who one day realise the error of their ways in choosing SWFC as a club.

Do I hate their fans? No. I hope they lose every game they go to watch. I pity their choice of team. But they are my friends, my workmates, my family and - forgive me for this - my wife.

All the nonsense frustrates me. We should simply be enjoying a 3-2 win. They should be keeping their heads down and looking forward to April. Nothing else.

I would still get divorced.

Spot on.

I hate everything that represents United, the badge, bacon, ground etc..., but I have good friends who are (unfortunately) Blades, and it's absolutely pathetic to stoop to frigging violence over football.

I used to have a friend at school who was a Blade who I goton with really well until the first time we played you in about ten years (League Cup 2000 was it?) when he claimed he'd joined the BBC (he was 15) for the occasion and if he saw me, friend or not, he'd smash my head in. I didn't even laugh, it was so pathetic, needless to say I haven't seen him for years.

I absolutely love the banter, but when it gets violent, tbh I just wish the police would escort all the nobheads to a field somehwere and let them rip each other limb from limb while the rest of us watch the beautiful game (and you lot watch hoofball...)

What has annoyed me on here over the last 12 hours has been the 'holier than thou' attitude as though it isn't the same on both sides of the divide.

Correct. We have a bunch of numpties who would do exactly the same thing given half the chance. Sad when the eyes of the footballing world are on us.

Has ANYONE said that our supporters aren't capable of the same?

We've criticised what went on last night. Do we need to preface every post with "I know we've got stupid supporters too, but..."

Yeah, but go and have a read of Owlstalk and you'll see it washed in the other direction too.

Unfortunately, all football clubs attract a minority of idiots and United and Wednesday aren't alone.

You must admit there have been a fair few posts with the air of 'we wouldn't do anything like that' about them

As I've said, both clubs have their nobhead 'supporters'
