...the article from the Daily Mail's chief football correspondent Martin Samuell praising a League one club for reaching the semi finals of the FA Cup. I know he writes a lot about the romance and importance of the FA cup so I know he must have been in raptures and devoted many column inches over this heart warning story.

I must have missed it somewhere along the line so if anyone can provide a link to his no doubt Pulitzer Prize standard article it would be much appreciated.

His main article today was all about Charlton and Chris Powell. How the chairman is sacrificing the club for his other teams, history of Charlton, huge crowds, jellied eels, Queen Mum (Gawd bless 'er). The usual London-centric sentimental twaddle.

Not a mention of the Blades, Tevez, Kabba etc. I must cancel my subscription!

I wouldn't wipe my arse on the Mail.

As for Samuels, he's a heart attack on legs, won't see 50.

I don't think anyone who is familiar with what has gone on at Charlton would argue it's good for football though. Clubs are becoming rich men's toys.

Typical of samuels and the media in general,.anybody see the two page spread in the mirror about poyet and son, two little pieces about hull and blades as an afterthought, funny how both poyets are not going to wembley, and to think the mirror was once viewed as a northern paper...

Read other lads papers at work, only buy em when abroad..

He's no doubt drafting an article now about the renaissance of Hull City, and how we've muscled our way into the semi final playing thuggish, unattractive football with a team of oversized bruisers and don't deserve to go any further. Oh and by the way, we are hypocrites because Kabba may have been ineligible for a game many years ago, and the results of football games should be settled on the field of play, not in court. (Unless you're West Ham appealing against a red card).

Jellied eels, Queen Mum, coats for jumpers, John Flynn leg broken with ball 50 yds away by someone who Duncan Ferguson couldn't hold a candle to....

TBH I quite like Charlton as a club and their ex manager, despite Mr Samuels and one very bad egg long time ago.
