But I feel after 7 games we finally have someone we can worship again with the likes of Currie, Deane, Edwards and Marcelo (ok maybe not quite him haha)

The man I am now talking about is..... YES the one and only JAMES BEATTIE.

7 goals in 7 games is rather impressive if you ask me. He does a lot more work off the ball and is such a clever footballer, good in the air, good on the floor, the guy has everything, and looking back now it seems £4 million may well be a snip for this player.

Think of it like this..... How many points would we have without him? I'm not convinced it would be anywhere near 8.

GOD SAVE OUR GRACIOUS BEATS

shame were probably going to have to see him go in january really,on his way to legendary satus in my eyes already though.

I really cant see him staying if someone mod table comes in for him why would he,i hope he does but i just cant see it.

Nah he will go in January if someone comes in for him.

He has ambitions to play for england and I doubt he wants to hang about in this shitty league.

Depends where we are in the league.. if we are top 6 Beattie will stay but if we have no chance then he could be sold

LETS HOPE NOT

The fact that Beattie is the leagues top scorer whilst playing in a team that has created very few clear cut opportunities and is playing no where near as well as it can makes me wonder how many the lad could/will get if we get our act together collectively.

The lad has been a revelation and Robson deserves credit for bringing him to the lane.

Exactly.

Although knowing us as soon as someone comes in for him we will sell.

We're not really the selling club we once were, and £4m is a lot to spend knowing a player will do well and put themselves in the shop window. We would only get the same back from a Premiership club.

Correct me if i'm wrong, I hope I am. However, I notice many people grumbling we will sell our best assest just because we sold Jags & Davis. Now the Jags sale was inevitable, Davis most people just take it or leave it. But to go back to the attitude of thinking oh we will sell him cause he's doing well is going back to a bad time for the club.

We wont sell him, I also think he will stay the duration of his contract. or at least until the end of the season seeing where we are then.

Agreed Gez, I have no doubt he will be a Blades still after January

yeah i cant see point in signing a 3-year deal if there going to go after 6months just stupid in my eyes
