...for the most part.
I thought it was a good game. In the first half we completely bossed it and, apart from the ridiculous own-goal, we looked like a decent team (albeit against a very poor Bristol side).
The second half started the same way and we were on top again until we gifted them another goal. After the sending off I'm not sure if we panicked or struggled with the new formation, but we stopped doing all of the things we had been doing well up until that part, with most of our players resorting to long balls up to Hendo.
As for Henderson, I thought he had a decent game. He was up against a beast in their #5 (Stewart?) but still won his fair share of headers and held the ball up pretty well without giving away many fouls. Granted he didn't do everything right; he put in one terrible cross and a lot of his flick ons didn't find our players, but to say that was only his 6th appearance after 11 months out injured I thought the abuse he got from our fans was unbelievable!
I thought it looked like it was going to be the same old story though, with us missing chances and giving goals away at the other end, but it was fantastic for a Sheffield-born player to pop up with the winning goal in front of the Kop. It's really encouraging as well to see us starting with 4 players who have come through the academy, as well as McAllister, with other youngsters looking to step up as well.
